Please refer to this survey for the location, diameter, and number of protected trees and post it on the job site prior to any land clearing activity.\n\nTree protection barricades are mandatory for all identified trees in the designated setback areas and for trees in the buildable area which will be used as replacement value.\n\nRemoval of tree barricades or failure to maintain barricades will disqualify the improperly protected tree(s) from being used as replacement value toward removed trees.\n\nRoot raking any tree will disqualify that tree from being used as replacement value toward removed trees. \n\nA minimum of 7 trees are required to be retained or planted upon completion of construction and prior to final tree inspection (one tree per 2,500 square feet of total site area). NOTE: This condition is not an alternative option to be used for replacement of protected trees; it is a minimum requirement. Trees must be of Florida Fancy or Florida #1 grade, no less than 2-inch caliper in size, and chosen from the Volusia County acceptable tree list, which can be found at http://www.volusia.org/environmental/permitting.\n\nProtected trees that have been removed, damaged, or improperly protected will require replacement. Replacement is calculated at 15% of the removed CSSI of protected trees. In addition to the CSSI replacement a per tree removal fee of $25.00 will be added per tree (up to $832.00)\nReplacement trees are required to be maintained for a period of (2) years from the date of planting. Any tree that dies or is determined to be effectively destroyed within that period must be replaced within 60 days. The two-year maintenance period will begin anew whenever a tree is replaced. Upon final tree inspection, a tree notification card will be attached to a replacement tree that will inform the owner of replacement requirements and the two-year maintenance inspection. This card shall only be removed by the owner once the home is occupied.\n\nThis property contains jurisdictional wetlands. These wetlands require a 25 foot upland buffer.\n\nThere must be no alteration of any Volusia County jurisdictional wetland or buffer without a valid County wetland alteration permit. Alteration includes, but is not limited to, dredging, filling, cutting or removal of vegetation, construction, and mowing.\n\nThis is not a wetland alteration permit.\n\nThere must be no erosion into the wetland or buffer. A turbidity barrier is required to be placed between the project and the wetland buffer to prevent erosion. The barrier is to be installed prior to the start of project and must be maintained daily. The barrier must be left in place until the final wetland inspection has been completed.\n\nIssuance of a Volusia County permit does not relieve you from the responsibility to obtain and abide by any other permits that may be required by other agencies (which include, but are not limited to, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, St. Johns River Water Management District, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers). Any environmental easement must be protected and not disturbed.\n\nPursuant to Florida State Statute 125.022, subsection (6): Issuance of a development permit or development order by a county does not in any way create any rights on the part of the applicant to obtain a permit from a state or federal agency and does not create any liability on the part of the county for issuance of the permit if the applicant fails to obtain requisite approvals or fulfill the obligations imposed by a state or federal agency or undertakes actions that result in a violation of state or federal law.\n\nPlease call for a final tree inspection and wetland inspection when the work has been completed on site, at (386) 736-5927.\n",
