"[FullRow]Condition": "A tree survey has been verified by Environmental Management staff. Please refer to this survey for the location, diameter, and number of protected trees and post it on the job site prior to any land clearing activity.\n\nTree protection barricades are mandatory for all identified trees in the designated setback areas and for trees in the buildable area which will be used as replacement value.\n\nRemoval of tree barricades or failure to maintain barricades will disqualify the improperly protected tree(s) from being used as replacement value toward removed trees.\n\nRoot raking any tree will disqualify that tree from being used as replacement value toward removed trees. \n\nA minimum of 5 trees is required to be retained or planted upon completion of construction and prior to final tree inspection (one tree per 2,500 square feet of total site area). NOTE: This condition is not an alternative option to be used for replacement of protected trees; it is a minimum requirement. Trees must be of Florida Fancy or Florida #1 grade, no less than 2-inch caliper in size, and chosen from the Volusia County Acceptable Tree Replacement List attached.\nProtected trees that have been removed, damaged, or improperly protected will require replacement. Replacement is calculated at 15% of the removed CSSI of protected trees. In addition to the CSSI replacement a per tree removal fee will be added per tree.\n\nReplacement trees are required to be maintained for a period of (2) years from the date of planting. Any tree that dies or is determined to be effectively destroyed within that period must be replaced within 60 days. The two-year maintenance period will begin anew whenever a tree is replaced. Upon final tree inspection, a tree notification card will be attached to a replacement tree that will inform the owner of replacement requirements and the two-year maintenance inspection. This card shall only be removed by the owner once the home is occupied.\n\nThis property has been identified as containing suitable habitat for the gopher tortoise (GT), a state threatened species. Pursuant to Section 72-1140 of the Land Development Code, a 100% GT burrow survey is required to be conducted by an Authorized Agent to determine if GT burrows or their 25-foot buffers are located on the property. A survey was conducted at the initial inspection and no GT burrows were located at the time of the site inspection. This survey expires 90 days after the initial inspection. It is the responsibility of the owner and/or contractor to locate additional burrows or burrows that are established after our inspection. All precautions are to be taken to protect the burrows during and following the construction activity. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission must permit the relocation of gopher tortoise(s) and a copy of the permit must be submitted to the Volusia County Environmental Management Division prior to clearing.
