DescriptionI was one of the installers on this job while working for Superior Heating and Cooling Management. The man was sold a full duct job with all new boots and grilles, plenums, flex, etc. The only thing changed were flex runs and vents. The install is questionable. Patched old return plenum to air handler in attic. Very poor work, the original material deteriorated and aged. Heat shield not attached to air handler, merely fastened to the supply plenum. The company had scheduled an additional duct job here to add a third mixer box in the attic to balance the airflow in the home. Job not permitted. We were told by our boss/company owner, Chris Swanson, to lie to the customer about the work done. Customer is under the impression that every bit of ductwork, from plenum to grille, was changed for new. We were told to cut any corners possible. No mastic. Not taped well, if at all. Collars not sealed to plenum. We were asked to complete the job in one day, though. I was sent back the next day with a partner to cut in 2 supply vents and 1return vent. Job was completed on the dates of June 15-16, 2023. I have GPS proof of being there during these dates on my phone. I was in charge of fixing permitted jobs for inspection, and I can say this company is completing nearly as many unpermitted jobs as they are permitted jobs.
