titleAdvance Notice of New Subprocessor - Portkey.ai
typegeneral
messageSubject: Notification of Upcoming Changes in Sub-Processors Used by NetDocuments – Palo Alto Networks’ Portkey Application Date: 15 June 2026 To our valued NetDocuments customers: We want to share an update regarding the sub-processors used by NetDocuments. Beginning September 15, 2026, NetDocuments will begin using Palo Alto Networks, Inc. Portkey application to perform sub-processing functions within the NetDocuments Services. Portkey is an AI Gateway and observability platform that acts as a secure, central nervous system for managing enterprise AI traffic. NetDocuments will use Portkey to facilitate administering NetDocuments’ optional ndMAX AI functions. Portkey is part of Palo Alto Networks, Inc. comprehensive AI security platform, providing a single control plane that achieves three main goals: • AI Runtime Security: Monitors AI traffic in real-time to mitigate prompt injections, data leakage, and novel, agent-based threats. • Agent Identity Security: Authenticates every AI agentic interaction to enforce least-privilege controls and prevent unauthorized tool use. • AI Observability & Reliability: Monitors AI workloads at production scale with deep technical telemetry, routing requests dynamically for 99.99% uptime. Portkey will not be used to directly process Customer Repository Data files. We will not use the Portkey Guardrails or Autonomous Fine-Tuning functions. Portkey will primarily manage data transmissions between the core NetDocuments Services and the AI processor NetDocuments uses to power NetDocuments’ optional AI functions. Portkey facilitates secure transmissions and optimal operating efficiencies. As always, thank you for being a NetDocuments customer. We are always here to help and if you have any questions about this notice, please contact the NetDocuments Compliance Department at [email protected]. Sincerely, John Motz Chief Technology Officer This notice is provided for informational purposes only. Nothing in this notice constitutes an amendment to, or modification of, any agreement between NetDocuments and you or your organization, including any data processing agreement or terms of service. Your existing contractual rights and obligations remain unchanged.
