Vehicle Code - VEH 21703. DIVISION 11. RULES OF THE ROAD [21000. - 23336.] CHAPTER 3. Driving, Overtaking, and Passing [21650. - 21761.] ARTICLE 2. Additional Driving Rules [21700. - 21721.] The driver of a motor vehicle shall not follow another vehicle more closely than is reasonable and prudent, having due regard for the speed of such vehicle and the traffic upon, and the condition of, the roadway. Enacted by Stats. 1959, Ch. 3.
