Vehicle Code - VEH 21650.1. DIVISION 11. RULES OF THE ROAD [21000. - 23336.] CHAPTER 3. Driving, Overtaking, and Passing [21650. - 21761.] ARTICLE 1. Driving on Right Side [21650. - 21664.] A bicycle operated on a roadway, or the shoulder of a highway, shall be operated in the same direction as vehicles are required to be driven upon the roadway.
