Penal Code - PEN 405a. PART 1. OF CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS [25. - 680.4.] TITLE 11. OF CRIMES AGAINST THE PUBLIC PEACE [403. - 420.1.] A person who participates in the taking by means of a riot of another person from the lawful custody of a peace officer is guilty of a felony, punishable by imprisonment pursuant to subdivision (h) of Section 1170 for two, three, or four years. Amended by Stats. 2015, Ch. 47, Sec. 1. (SB 629) Effective January 1, 2016.
