Penal Code - PEN 122. PART 1. OF CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS [25. - 680.4.] TITLE 7. OF CRIMES AGAINST PUBLIC JUSTICE [92. - 186.36.] CHAPTER 5. Perjury and Subornation of Perjury [118. - 131.] It is no defense to a prosecution for perjury that the accused was not competent to give the testimony, deposition, or certificate of which falsehood is alleged. It is sufficient that he did give such testimony or make such deposition or certificate. Enacted 1872.
