Health and Safety Code - HSC 11379.2. DIVISION 10. UNIFORM CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ACT [11000. - 11651.] CHAPTER 6. Offenses and Penalties [11350. - 11395.] ARTICLE 5. Offenses Involving Controlled Substances Formerly Classified as Restricted Dangerous Drugs [11377. - 11382.5.] Except as otherwise provided in Article 7 (commencing with Section 4211) of Chapter 9 of Division 2 of the Business and Professions Code, every person who possesses for sale or sells any controlled substance specified in subdivision (g) of Section 11056 shall be punished by imprisonment in the county jail for a period of not more than one year or in the state prison. Added by Stats. 1991, Ch. 294, Sec. 5.
