Health and Safety Code - HSC 11162.6. DIVISION 10. UNIFORM CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ACT [11000. - 11651.] CHAPTER 4. Prescriptions [11150. - 11209.] ARTICLE 1. Requirements of Prescriptions [11150. - 11180.] (a) Every person who counterfeits a controlled substance prescription form shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment in a county jail for not more than one year, by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by both that imprisonment and fine. (b) Every person who knowingly possesses a counterfeited controlled substance prescription form shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding six months, by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by both that imprisonment and fine. (c) Every person who attempts to obtain or obtains a controlled substance prescription form under false pretenses shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding six months, by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by both that imprisonment and fine. (d) Every person who fraudulently produces controlled substance prescription forms shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding six months, by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by both that imprisonment and fine. (e) This section shall become operative on July 1, 2004. Added by Stats. 2003, Ch. 406, Sec. 10. Effective January 1, 2004. Section operative July 1, 2004, by its own provisions.
