Learn more about IDRA’s Education Policy Fellows program at  https://idra.news/EdPolicyFellows IDRA is changing the landscape of state education advocacy by training early- to mid-career advocates to influence state laws and lead a powerful network of impacted and engaged communities. To be eligible, fellowship applicants must: Be committed to a full-time, in-person fellowship between September  29 , 202 6 , and June 2 8 , 202 7 . Live within a bout  30 minutes of Austin . Have  demonstrated  connections to  historically-marginalized  communities most impacted by inequities in the public education system . Have a demonstrated interest in education justice, through personal and/or professional experiences ,  and have a desire to grow knowledge about state-level policymaking . Be committed to expanding access to excellent pre-K-12 and  college  opportunities for students, particularly students  of color , emerg ent  bilingual students, immigrant students, students from families with limited incomes and other  historically-marginalized  groups. If you have questions, contact Fellowship Coordinator, Mikayla Arciaga , M.A.Ed.,  at  [email protected] . Applications are due July 31, 2026, at 5:00 pm CST. We ask that all application materials be your own original work to ensure we can evaluate your genuine qualifications, writing skills and critical thinking capacities.
