Serves as a trusted advisor to leaders across the organization, driving workforce strategy, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement. Balances hands-on employee relations support with enterprise-level consulting and change leadership.</p>\n<p>At Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, all employees are expected to demonstrate a commitment to our values of collaboration, compassion, determination, excellence, innovation, integrity, and respect.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Partner with senior leaders to develop and execute workforce and talent strategies aligned with business goals.</li>\n <li>Lead and support change management initiatives, including restructuring, growth, and transformation efforts.</li>\n <li>Drive employee engagement and retention strategies across assigned client groups.</li>\n <li>Utilize HR data and insights (e.g., turnover, engagement, workforce trends) to inform recommendations and decision-making.</li>\n <li>Manage and lead in the following activities: \n  <ul>\n   <li>Resolve complex employee relations issues, ensuring consistent application and understanding of organizational policies and practices.</li>\n   <li>Provide guidance and tailored solutions to meet the needs of client population.</li>\n   <li>Lead training, facilitate sensitive conversations, and recommend solutions to enhance the employee experience.</li>\n   <li>Partner with leadership on organizational design efforts; advise on change implications and people impacts.</li>\n   <li>Lead a variety of internal HR projects and client initiatives.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Operates with a high degree of autonomy, setting priorities in alignment with organizational goals</li>\n <li>Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR Business Partners, including hiring, performance management, and professional development.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 8 years of progressive Human Resources experience.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 2 years of direct people leadership experience.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience across multiple HR disciplines, with strong knowledge of applicable labor and employment laws.</li>\n <li>Proven ability to influence and drive outcomes without direct authority.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and operate effectively in a dynamic environment.</li>\n <li>Experience with complex employee relations investigations.</li>\n <li>Experience advising senior leadership.</li>\n <li>Experience in organizational change or transformation.</li>\n <li>Experience in acute care, hospital, or academic medical center environment.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual communication platforms.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Familiarity with Joint Commission, Magnet designation, or other healthcare accreditation standards.</li>\n <li>Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday).</li>\n <li>HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The annual base salary range for this position is from $126,984 to $200,678, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance health, well-being, and financial security.
