The Maintenance Tech assists with the operation and maintenance of all YTT-managed facilities and properties. Other duties may include general laborer work including hauling goods, painting, basic carpentry, landscaping, and snow removal.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position requires compliance with Yakutat Tlingit Tribe’s compliance standards, including its Standards of Conduct, Compliance Program, and policies and procedures. Such compliance will be an element considered as part of the position’s regular performance. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\"> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Essential Functions:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist the Lead Maintenance Tech and Facilities Administrator with preventive maintenance and repairs of equipment and facility components.</li>\n<li>Comply with all safety rules and regulations.</li>\n<li>Maintain and tracks material supplies needed for operation of building and medical service components including inventory, ordering, material receiving, stocking, tracking of inventory supplies.</li>\n<li>Perform general aesthetic upkeep which can include painting, basic carpentry, landscaping, or snow removal.</li>\n<li>Assist in carrying out regularly scheduled equipment checkups or repairs, as requested.</li>\n<li>Perform heavy lifting and manual labor as needed</li>\n<li>Assist with construction tasks from foundation to finish work</li>\n<li>Read and interpret tape measurements accurately, apply basic carpentry fundamentals.</li>\n<li>Work safely and efficiently as part of a team</li>\n<li>Other operational duties as assigned.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<ul></ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</span></span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of the structure, functions and operations of Yakutat Tlingit Tribes departments.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of carpentry and construction tools</li>\n<li>Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of records and information with tact and discretion.</li>\n<li>Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing internal and/or external situations.</li>\n<li>Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision.</li>\n<li>Ability to read a tape measure and follow instructions</li>\n<li>Ability, flexibility and willingness to handle a variety of tasks.</li>\n<li>Ability to work well with others in a team approach to problem solving.</li>\n<li>Skill in providing exceptional customer service.</li>\n<li>Skill in critical thinking, problem solving, organization and time management.</li>\n<li>Skill in written and oral communication.</li>\n<li>Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal and professional relationships.</li>\n<li>Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under short timeframes and attend to details.</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently with brief verbal instructions, as well as prioritize workload.</li>\n<li>Ability to be a reliable worker (show up on time and consistent with the required work schedule).<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Work Environment/Physical Demands:</span></span></p>\n<p>The following demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; climb ladders, crawl, need full mobility of all limbs able to navigate and work in tight/closed areas. Must not be claustrophobic, acrophobic, or be colorblind.
