    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Status:</span><span> </span>Full time Position</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Title:</span><span> </span>Automotive Technician – Level II</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Reports to:</span><span> </span>After Sales Manager</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Summary:</span><span> </span>The Level Two Automotive Technician plays a vital role in our team, performing services and repairs on various vehicles in a safe and efficient manner. They are required to operate professionally and provide on the job coaching to Level One Technicians.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Objectives of this Role:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>In accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations, perform general repairs, maintenance, and services to the engine, transmission, drivetrain, steering, suspension, brakes and electrical components of internal combustion engine, electric, and hybrid electric</li>\n<li>Clocks on and off jobs assigned in dealer management system (DMS) as needed.</li>\n<li>Effectively records on repair orders/DMS the condition of components being inspected.</li>\n<li>Completes services and repairs efficiently, in accordance with the times set by manufacturers, to ensure a high level of productivity.</li>\n<li>Operates carefully, ensuring that services and repairs are completed correctly the first time.</li>\n<li>Ensures that work is completed without damaging or dirtying customers’ vehicles.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with team members to resolve work-related questions and problems, providing assistance and guidance as needed.</li>\n<li>Assist in responding to customer inquiries and complaints, coordinating with management to ensure customer satisfaction.</li>\n<li>Read wiring diagrams and perform basic electrical diagnostics and repairs.</li>\n<li>Escalates technically complex repairs to Diagnostic Technician (DT) and Management.</li>\n<li>Maintains a clean and professional workstation.</li>\n<li>Attend training sessions to learn shop procedures and automotive maintenance techniques.</li>\n<li>Keep equipment maintenance and servicing records.</li>\n<li>Contribute ideas for process improvements and modifications to enhance workflow efficiency.</li>\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned by management.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">General Job Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diagnose the cause of mechanical and electrical failure, drivability problems, and safety problems in automotive equipment and determine appropriate repairs needed.</li>\n<li>Perform skilled repair work on automotive equipment.</li>\n<li>Perform preventative maintenance on automotive vehicles.</li>\n<li>Use hand and power tools safely and skilfully.</li>\n<li>Understand and follow oral and written directions and plans.</li>\n<li>Store records.</li>\n<li>Safely lift objects weighing 50 pounds.</li>\n<li>Fabricate using welding equipment.</li>\n<li>Work cooperatively with others and provide positive customer service.</li>\n<li>Input, access and analyze data using a computer and adapt to technical changes.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills and Education</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Automotive diploma or equivalent high level of technical qualification</li>\n<li>3+ years experience as an Automotive Technician</li>\n<li>Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues.</li>\n<li>Basic working knowledge of diagnostic tools and software</li>\n<li>Exceptional customer service skills</li>\n<li>Ability to lift heavy objects and work in small spaces.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">DISCLAIMER</span></p>\n<p>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by persons assigned to this classification.
