The role focuses heavily on mechanical systems and overall equipment performance, with supporting involvement in electrical and control components as needed.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>You will serve as a technical resource on-site, ensuring JMS equipment is installed correctly, operates reliably, and meets customer expectations.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as the primary on-site technical resource for commissioning, and startup, ensuring systems meet design specifications.</li>\n<li>Lead troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and control systems, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.</li>\n<li>Coordinate on-site with contractors, plant personnel, and internal stakeholders to drive progress and maintain schedules.</li>\n<li>Perform system diagnostics on rotating equipment, VFDs, and control components to ensure reliable performance.</li>\n<li>Conduct inspections, assessments, and preventative maintenance, identifying and addressing potential issues early.</li>\n<li>Provide hands-on training to operators and maintenance teams on proper system operation and upkeep.</li>\n<li>Generate clear field service reports documenting conditions, root causes, actions taken, and recommendations.</li>\n<li>Act as a liaison between field operations and engineering, communicating findings and supporting improvements.</li>\n<li>Lead post-installation support, including warranty service, follow-ups, and system optimization.</li>\n<li>Maintain professional communication with customers, providing guidance and reinforcing JMS’s role as a trusted partner.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications, Desired Experience, and Skills</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>3+ years of experience in field service, industrial maintenance, or equipment installation/startup</li>\n<li>Strong mechanical aptitude (rotating equipment, mechanical assemblies, etc.)</li>\n<li>Basic troubleshooting of control panels (motors, VFDs, basic control panels)</li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.</li>\n<li>Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently in the field</li>\n<li>Strong communication and customer interaction skills</li>\n<li>Valid driver’s license</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Travel is approximately 85% and includes frequent overnight travel to customer sites across the U.S.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in water/wastewater or similar industrial environments</li>\n<li>Basic exposure to PLCs or automated systems (troubleshooting level, not programming)</li>\n<li>Experience with system startups and commissioning</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education</span><br></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Associate’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Technology (or equivalent hands-on experience)</li>\n<li>Military or technical field experience will be considered in place of formal education<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why This Role Matters</span></p>\n<p>This position directly impacts the performance and reliability of critical water treatment systems.
