This includes machine and fixture performance and enhancement, data analysis, reporting, machine and tooling maintenance, and production process improvements. The (Production Technician I) role represents the first level within the Production Technician career path.\n\nCOMPETENCY PROFILE:\n•\tGlobal Competencies: Initiative; Comprehensive Thinking (Personal Credibility); Collaboration; Willingness to learn.\n•\tGeneral Competencies: Adaptability; Communication; Customer Orientation; Analytic Thinking; Diagnostic Information Gathering; Innovation; Thoroughness.\n•\tTechnical Competencies: Industrial Safety; Technical Documentation; Machine Installation; Maintenance and Repair; PLC Programming; Robotic Systems\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\n•\tINCLUDE RESPONSIBILITIES AS APPROPRIATE \n•\tSet-up, calibrate, configure, and operate equipment according to (SOP’s).\n•\tPerforms regular maintenance checks & repairs on automated systems. \n•\tInspects and replaces parts as needed, ensuring machinery operates at peak efficiency.\n•\tRoutine diagnostic checks are performed on automated systems to detect malfunctions. \n•\tPerforms soldering, hand assembly, rework, and packaging of parts and assemblies. \n•\tThis role regularly maintains, monitors, and inspects electronic equipment, providing technical support and maintaining accurate records.\n•\tReads and follows product specifications, blueprints, diagrams, and applying standard operating procedures (SOPs) to set up and operate production equipment efficiently.\n•\tAssist in quality control processes to ensure final products meet quality standards.\n•\tDiagnose, report, and resolve problems with products, methods, and equipment.\n•\tMaintain a clean and safe work environment that complies with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards.\n•\tAccurately record and report production data\n•\tManage and use maintenance data software.\n•\tOrganize parts lists and a spare parts system to proactively prepare service equipment.\n•\tComplete qualification documentation on machine, procedures, and processes.\n•\tWork closely with all manufacturing personnel and provide technical support & training.\n•\tCollaborate with other team members to meet production goals and enhance productivity.\n•\tSupports Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing practices.\n•\tFollow procedures associated with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001.\n•\tPerforms other related duties as assigned.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n•\tINCLUDE QUALIFICATIONS AS APPROPRIATE \n•\tHigh school diploma, technical school or equivalent.\n•\tKnowledge of and desire to work in a production environment.\n•\tKnowledge of AutoCAD or other computer aided design program(s).\n•\tKnowledge of Mechanical assembly.\n•\tDemonstrate initiative by understanding what actions need to be taken and completing the required tasks while seeking the perspective of others as required. \n•\tDemonstrate an honest and forthright presence by taking responsibility for your own mistakes and not blaming others and by doing what he / she commits to doing. \n•\tWork as a team player to make a difference within the business and express gratitude and appreciation to others who have provided information, assistance, or support. \n•\tReadily oversee and embrace change through taking advantage of lifelong learning opportunities and being open minded and curious in the face of new challenges.\n•\tDemonstration of adaptability and efficiency under pressure are essential traits of this role.\n\nSUPPORTING QUALIFICATIONS:\n•\tINCLUDE SUPPORTING QUALIFICATIONS AS APPROPRIATE \n•\tAssociate degree in a technical field such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or industrial technology or another related field; Or 1 – 3 years of relevant work experience.\n•\tCertifications related to specific equipment, technologies, or safety (such as OSHA training) also bolster a candidate’s qualifications.\n•\tExperience in a manufacturing environment, specifically similar industry production work.\n•\tKnowledge of industry standards, latest technological advancements, and safety protocols. \n•\tCertified Production Technician (CPT) certification.\n•\tKnowledge of ISO 9001.\n•\tKnowledge of Lean/Six Sigma.\n•\tPrior work experience in a manufacturing environment.\n\n\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:\n \n•\tAble to lift at least 50 pounds.\n•\tAble to use pallet jack with 300-pound load.\n•\tAble to use portable staircase and climb to 12-foot heights.\n•\tAble to carry 20 pound/ 3 cubic feet boxes up and down portable staircase.\n•\tAble to push 4-wheeled cart with 100-pound load.\n•\tAble to work a 6-day week, if required.\n•\tAble to stand or sit continually for four hours without break.\n•\tAble to travel to offsite locations including German Headquarters for periods of up to 2 to 3 weeks.",
