Check out our website and docs for more details. Storage at Sei Sei Labs is looking for a Protocol Engineer specialized in the EVM to lead the development of core components of the Sei Blockchain. Our mission at Sei is to Scale the EVM, you’d be at the epicenter of everything we’re about.   You'll work at the forefront of blockchain infrastructure, designing and optimizing the foundational layers of a high-performance, scalable decentralized network on our Storage team. You'll be helping build the most performant end to end solution for a massive amount of data as the Sei network hits mainstream traction. If you're passionate about low-level systems design, performance optimization, and shaping the future of decentralized networks, this is a great opportunity to make a lasting impact in Web3. Responsibilities Write code to build the core sei blockchain (execution, consensus, state management, etc.) Analyze and own the end to end performance of Sei’s EVM implementations. Proactively identify and drive optimizations and improvements to the product. Take ownership over your work and the work of the team. Qualifications 5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience 2+ years of EVM specific work in building and scaling a Layer 1 blockchains performance Deep end to end understanding of the EVM from execution to storage A proven tech lead with experience planning and leading large projects with long-term impact on a single system or team Strong technical grasp and excellent judgment on task prioritizations Able to tackle complex engineering problems that deliver results History of creating and applying new processes and tooling to increase engineering efficiency
