Description

GENERAL SUMMARY Serve as primary contact between lenders and business partners and resolve any issues related to the program guidelines on a case-by-case basis. Perform aspects of the Single Family and DPA loan programs to include tracking, reporting, training and communicating to all related parties. Supports a variety of accounting operations and activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description. Answering phone calls and assisting with general programmatic questions or concerns from borrowers and business partners Work closely with internal and external business partners to prepare and/or reconcile various monthly, quarterly and annual reports. (Quarterly MBFRF, NCSHA surveys, semiannual Geographic reports, Annual IRS Report, and other reports as assigned) Assist with the preparation and review of the monthly appropriations report in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Homeownership for submission to the Accounting Department. Serve as the primary back-up for the functions of the Lock-Desk and Single-Family (email inbox) for requests from lenders that include but are not limited to: changes related to program type, loan amount updates, household size, property, additional lock extensions and waivers to the standard program policies. Assist the lock desk with performing a preliminary review of the submissions to Single-Family in the Virpack system, create and assign new tasks in the Virpack system as needed. Research and correct any data anomalies or discrepancies within the assigned area. Performs duties associated with tracking the use of the various state and federal funding sources such as the Severance Tax Bond and Housing Trust Fund monies allocated to the department. Perform data corrections and reconciliation in the PowerLender system as needed. Performs various duties associated with tracking the use and oversight of the department's Capital Magnet Fund grant allocations (HomeNow program) Performs internal monthly MERS audit to ensure data is accurate in all systems (PowerLender, MITAS, MERS) in a timely manner. Also ensure final documents are correct and loaded properly into VirPack for the files that were chosen for the audit. Performs daily compliance file triage duties of the documents uploaded into VirPack. This includes communicating deficiencies in the files to our lending partners prior to checking in the loans for compliance review. Serves as the primary back-up for the process of daily data transfer for the Single Family and DPA loans purchased by our Contract Service Provider. This includes data uploads from PowerLender and the Contract Service Provider into MITAS and balancing reports from PowerLender, MITAS and the Contract Service Provider. Assist with the review/input of the annual income limit and acquisition costs changes for the Single Family and DPA programs Provide back-up support as needed and assigned, specifically for the Lock Desk-Lending Specialist. Performs other related duties of a similar nature and of those related to the Lock Desk-Lending Specialist. Comply with safety regulations, procedures, and protocols MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience High school diploma or GED and two years mortgage lending, consumer lending or banking experience preferred. Basic computer skills; familiar with loan origination systems; some customer service experience. Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage documents, security instruments and terminology preferred.
