The Senior Project Manager serves as the business owner of the project, accountable for financial performance, schedule execution, contractual compliance, risk mitigation, and client relationship management.</p>\n<p>The ideal candidate has successfully managed large-scale industrial, utility, or mission-critical electrical projects and possesses both strong technical understanding and executive-level business discipline.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Shermco Industries is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Field Services. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Location: Covering projects in Iowa, Minnesota, and Nebraska </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><h3>Project Ownership</h3>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Assume full P&L responsibility for assigned projects</li>\n   <li>Manage projects ranging from $500k to multi-million-dollar contracts</li>\n   <li>Protect and improve project margins through disciplined execution</li>\n   <li>Maintain accurate forecasting through project completion</li>\n  </ul><h3>Financial Management</h3>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Develop and manage detailed project budgets</li>\n   <li>Monitor labor productivity and cost performance</li>\n   <li>Maintain forecasting accuracy and revenue alignment</li>\n   <li>Identify, price, and capture change order opportunities</li>\n   <li>Manage billing cycles and cash flow exposure</li>\n  </ul><h3>Contract & Scope Control</h3>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Interpret and manage contract requirements</li>\n   <li>Ensure scope clarity and enforce structured change management</li>\n   <li>Lead RFI development and tracking</li>\n   <li>Prevent unauthorized scope execution</li>\n  </ul><h3>Risk Management</h3>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Develop and maintain formal project risk registers</li>\n   <li>Proactively mitigate safety, financial, schedule, and resource risks</li>\n   <li>Escalate high-impact risks appropriately</li>\n   <li>Lead contingency and recovery planning</li>\n  </ul><h3>Schedule Management</h3>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Develop and manage detailed project schedules</li>\n   <li>Coordinate shutdown windows and critical path milestones</li>\n   <li>Document and manage delay impacts</li>\n   <li>Align workforce and engineering resources to schedule demands</li>\n  </ul><h3>Field Leadership & Execution</h3>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Lead cross-functional teams including technicians, engineers, and subcontractors</li>\n   <li>Conduct structured project kickoff meetings</li>\n   <li>Drive execution quality and minimize rework</li>\n   <li>Ensure disciplined documentation and turnover standards</li>\n  </ul><h3>Client Relationship Management</h3>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Serve as primary client interface</li>\n   <li>Lead project update meetings and executive briefings</li>\n   <li>Navigate conflict professionally while protecting Shermco’s interests</li>\n   <li>Develop opportunities for repeat business</li>\n  </ul><h3>Executive Reporting</h3>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Provide clear project performance updates to senior leadership</li>\n   <li>Present risk summaries, financial forecasts, and mitigation plans</li>\n   <li>Participate in post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions</li>\n  </ul><h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n  <ul>\n   <li>7+ years of project management experience in electrical construction, testing, commissioning, engineering services, or industrial field services</li>\n   <li>Demonstrated success managing projects exceeding $500,000 in contract value</li>\n   <li>Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and margin management</li>\n   <li>Experience interpreting contracts and managing change orders</li>\n   <li>Working knowledge of medium- and low-voltage electrical systems</li>\n   <li>Proven ability to lead large field teams and multi-disciplinary resources</li>\n   <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with executive presence</li>\n  </ul><h2>Education</h2><p>Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.</p><p>Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.</p><p>Equivalent combinations of education and significant relevant project management experience in electrical services environments will be considered.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in NETA testing, commissioning, or power systems services</li>\n <li>PMP certification or formal project management training</li>\n <li>Background in utility, industrial, data center, or mission-critical environments</li>\n <li>Experience managing multi-location or multi-branch teams</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER | DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE</strong></p>\n<p>Shermco is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
