Quanta’s focus on the utility industry and HBK’s focus on constructability in our designs has made our integration into the Quanta family of companies seamless.</p>\n<h2>About this Role</h2>\n<p>A Project Coordinator at HBK Engineering is a position for professionals with foundational experience in project coordination and utility infrastructure projects. This role builds upon the Associate Project Coordinator responsibilities by requiring utility design and/or coordination experience and familiarity with area agencies, municipalities, and governing jurisdictions. The position involves working as a team member on diverse technical teams while demonstrating a strong desire for career progression and assisting in the growth of project management programs within the organization. <strong>Work location: IL</strong></p>\n<h2>What You'll Do</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Work as a team member on diverse technical teams involved in engineering design and construction of utility infrastructure</li>\n <li>Solve complicated problems by breaking them down into manageable steps and applying project management methodologies</li>\n <li>Work independently on day-to-day tasks and prioritize efforts based on deadlines and project requirements</li>\n <li>Use software to track project performance in an organized and clear manner for internal and external use</li>\n <li>Develop, maintain, and improve tracking metrics related to project design and permitting progress including permit submittals, design and review statuses, client deliverable submittals, and other relevant project metrics</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external teammates for effective collaboration</li>\n <li>Provide support to project team leadership through assistance with project forecasts and analytics</li>\n <li>Support identification of project/program budget, forecast, and authorization concerns early and develop resolutions to meet required project metrics</li>\n <li>Support monitoring of program financial risks and opportunities and provide detailed analysis of variances to budget, quarterly plan, and month-over-month variance analysis</li>\n <li>Review external schedules from owners, clients, contract resources, and construction partners</li>\n <li>Monitor and maintain schedules with the project team to meet or exceed client deadlines</li>\n <li>Develop and improve non-technical program/project procedural documents for operational efficiency</li>\n <li>Coordinate project activities and communications between team members and stakeholders</li>\n <li>Assist with project documentation and reporting requirements</li>\n <li>Apply utility design and coordination experience to enhance project delivery</li>\n <li>Leverage familiarity with area agencies, municipalities, and governing jurisdictions for project success.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Bring</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Typically requires bachelor's degree from an ABET/EAC accredited program (substitution of experience and confirmation of meeting qualifications may be extended to non-degreed individuals on case-by-case basis)</li>\n <li>CAPM or PMP licensure recommended</li>\n <li>3+ years of relevant experience</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required to track project performance in an organized and clear manner for internal and external use</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication abilities</li>\n <li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment</li>\n <li>Strong desire for career progression while assisting in the growth of the program</li>\n <li>Utility design and/or coordination experience</li>\n <li>Familiarity with area agencies, municipalities, and governing jurisdictions</li>\n <li>Ability and willingness to learn new Microsoft Office 365 apps for project management purposes</li>\n <li>Problem-solving skills with ability to break down complex issues into manageable steps</li>\n <li>Strong organizational and time management skills</li>\n <li>Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines</li>\n <li>Attention to detail for accurate tracking and reporting</li>\n <li>Ability to work for prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer</li>\n <li>Ability to lift up to 10 pounds at a time.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Get</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Advanced project coordination role with increased responsibility and utility infrastructure expertise</li>\n <li>Professional development in project management methodologies with CAPM/PMP certification support</li>\n <li>Experience with utility design and coordination in real-world project applications</li>\n <li>Enhanced relationship building with area agencies, municipalities, and governing jurisdictions</li>\n <li>Advanced training in Microsoft Office 365 apps for project management purposes</li>\n <li>Leadership opportunities in program growth and development initiatives</li>\n <li>Experience with complex financial analysis, budget variance tracking, and project forecasting</li>\n <li>Professional development in procedural document creation and process improvement</li>\n <li>Clear career progression pathway within the HBK Organization's Project Management Track</li>\n <li>Collaborative work environment with diverse technical teams and external stakeholders</li>\n <li>Advanced preparation for senior project management and leadership roles.</li>\n <li>Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability and employer paid life insurance.
