We will never ask you for any personal information over the phone, via email or via text.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>CASINO REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be at least 21 years of age.</li>\n <li>Must be able to obtain, and maintain, a Gardena Police Department/City issued Casino Work Permit.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong> ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs most repairs and maintenance assignments.</li>\n <li>Performs semi-specialized assignments and general tasks in the maintenance of the entire Casino property.</li>\n <li>Performs general plumbing duties, e.g. sink and drain clog clearing.</li>\n <li>Performs general refrigeration, heating and AC maintenance, e.g.air handler filter replacement.</li>\n <li>Assists in painting, carpentry and remodeling of the entire Casino property, e.g. tile floor cleaning, florescense light replacement, shuffle machine replacement.</li>\n <li>Assists, when needed, in moving of Casino game tables, chairs, office furniture and supplies as needed.</li>\n <li>Abides by and adheres to the Casino safety policy as well as the State Health Department regulations.</li>\n <li>Assists the Facilities Manager and Supervisors as needed.</li>\n <li>Performs all other work-related duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>1-3 years of General Maintenance experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>HS Diploma or GED required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> QUALIFICATION</strong></p>\n<p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to operate the Scissor lift (and know how to charge it.)</li>\n <li>Hand snake and general tools.</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of air handler filter replacement.</li>\n <li>Basic sink and drain clog clearing.</li>\n <li>Experience with tile floor cleaning.</li>\n <li>General knowledge of Felt replacement.</li>\n <li>Ability to examine issues both strategically and tactically.</li>\n <li>Ability to carry out detailed tasks and projects with minimal direction or supervision.   </li>\n <li>This position requires the ability to problem solve situations in an effective and efficient manner.</li>\n <li>Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Qualified individuals [as defined by the ADA and CRD] must be able to perform all of the essential duties with or without a reasonable accommodation.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>LANGUAGE SKILLS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships.</li>\n <li>Ability to express ideas clearly and succinctly in letters, memos and reports.</li>\n <li>Able to read, write, and speak English.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintenance Certification preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have ability to safely lift minimum of 75 lbs. without restrictions.</li>\n <li>Requires many hours of working in front of a computer and extended periods of telephone work. </li>\n <li>Able to reach overhead, bend, kneel, and carry product, necessary for customer service, re-stocking inventory.</li>\n <li>Able to regularly perform store maintenance items: sweep, vacuum, empty trash, clean.</li>\n <li>Ability to use and climb ladders.</li>\n <li>Work in an enclosed and busy area.</li>\n <li>Requires ability to reach with hands and arms; occasionally required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.</li>\n <li>Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude and ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines with attention to detail.</li>\n <li>Professional appearance and demeanor.</li>\n <li>Lifting, twisting and turning carrying items.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>WORK ENVIORNMENT</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.</li>\n <li>Ability to tolerate indoor temperatures of approximately 60- 65 degrees for extended periods of time.</li>\n <li>Must be at least 21 years of age.</li>\n <li>Must be able to concentrate in an intense, fast-paced environment with numerous distractions</li>\n <li>24 hour operation with a very fast paced environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This job description is not to be construed as an exhaustive list of duties, responsibilities, or requirements.
