    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "Assist with visual and tactile inspections of bridges and highway structures to discover deterioration, damage, and defects that would affect the life, serviceability and safety of the structure. \n<br>\n<br><b>How you will contribute:</b>\n<br>\n<li>Equipment Operation: Operate specialized inspection equipment and vehicles.</li>\n<li>Inspection Data and Reports: Collect structural data and dimensions of components. Prepare and distribute structural inspection reports and related documentation. Check information in paper and electronic inspection report files and update as necessary.</li>\n<li>Inspections: Assist with visual and tactile inspections of bridges and highway structures to discover deterioration, damage and defects.</li>\n<li>Inventory: Assist with creation of new inventory records and update existing structure inventory and assessment data in automated database system.</li>\n<li>Job Safety: Determine and demonstrate proper work site protection techniques. Ensure workplace safety by identifying workplace hazards and making suggestions for improvement. Wear proper personal protection equipment. Maintain current knowledge of safety rules, regulations, laws and procedures. Ensure equipment is used properly and safely. Apply MUTCD for detours, lane closures, work zones, etc. Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
