(GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients.  LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Inspect DOT construction work to ensure compliance with standards and project Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with plans and standard specifications</li>\n <li>Inspect all material upon arrival to the jobsite to ensure compliance</li>\n <li>Review plans to identify potential violations</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain field and office records</li>\n <li>Ability to perform complex quantity and engineering computations</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications</li>\n <li>Determine the quality of materials being used throughout testing</li>\n <li>Communicate effectively.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or construction management preferred, could be substituted with NICET Level 3</li>\n <li>Minimum (6) years of experience in construction trades.</li>\n <li>Minimum (4) years of experience as a Construction Inspector including inspection of site/civil</li>\n <li>OSHA 30 hr.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with web-based submittal collaboration systems</li>\n <li>Construction scheduling knowledge to support project team</li>\n <li>Experience with the Connecticut Department of Transportation is preferred</li>\n <li>Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and procedures</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain field and office records and perform quantity computations</li>\n <li>Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications</li>\n <li>Strong written and oral communication skills</li>\n <li>Following certs preferred: ACI Grade 1, AWS certified welding inspector, QCIS, CESSWI, NETTCP Concrete Insepctor, NETTCP HMA Paving Inspector, OHSHA 30</li>\n <li> </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Our Culture:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We believe in the power of collaboration.
