    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>EP PRODUCTION LEAD</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Reports to: Production Manager</p><p>&nbsp;</p><ol><li><strong>Objective of the Position:</strong></li></ol><p>The assistant production supervisor is responsible for providing support to the production floor. &nbsp;The role is ultimately responsible for the production of baked goods on 2 production lines, product quality, completion of production orders, GMP and HACCP compliance housekeeping as well warehousing/freezer inventory. They are also responsible for the applicable production associates on their assigned shift. &nbsp;They monitor all production lines in accordance to the schedule, manpower, Quality Assurance, BRC/FSMA guidelines and safety requirements. Drive continuous improvement and engagement of associates to achieve world class results.</p><p><strong>ll. Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Responsible for producing a quality product that meets all the Safety, FSMA/BRC, and Customer regulations</li><li>&nbsp;Coach, counsel, train and develop associate&rsquo;s skills</li><li>Establishes efficient production processes for all the company&rsquo;s product lines</li><li>Ensures that all products are in compliance with QA and FSMA/BRC regulations</li><li>Regularly work with other supervisors in methods of improving production processes.</li><li>Prior to shift start, reviews production schedule with the line associates and keeps them informed of any changes in product, line changes, material availability. Complete shift huddle/communication/GEMBA walks with Supervisors and associates.</li><li>Complete any and all applicable Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) relating to safety, downtime, material loss, etc</li><li>Assures that all recipes, bills of material, labels, tools and equipment are ready prior to production start</li><li>Inspects production lines regularly to assure that Good Manufacturing Practices are followed</li><li>Makes certain that production areas are kept clean of waste, debris, and liquids to avoid safety hazards. &nbsp;Helps to drive and maintain a 5S methodology of sort, shine, set-in order, standardize and sustain.</li><li>Takes disciplinary measures when an associate fails to comply with company regulations. &nbsp; Drive coaching of the team to eliminate behavior that willfully violates the company policies</li><li>Responsible for making quality products that meet all the Food Safety, FSMA/BRC, QA, and customer requirements</li><li>Ensures that at the end of the shift all documentation pertinent to production: materials, associate hours, and counts are accurate. Completes all required information tracking and data collection. &nbsp;Confirms all production into SAP system and double-checks accuracy of the information entered into the system.</li><li>Pro-active response to down time and rapid shift and product changeovers. &nbsp; Drive continuous improvement opportunities around changeovers involving maintenance, quality and the operators on shift.&nbsp;</li><li>Resolves quality problems with QA participation immediately</li><li>Maintains effective communications between the Plant Manager and supervisors Identifies significant issues related to quality, safety, down time, production problems or any other unexpected issues</li><li>As new products are introduced, the manager and the supervisors take a pro-active approach to learn everything about the new product and by comparison. Utilize KPI data to drive performance with associates.</li></ul><p>&middot; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Lead and motivate associates to maximize productivity and minimize operating costs.</p><p>&middot; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Participate in and lead LEAN manufacturing activities as needed, kaizen, SMED, 5S, etc. &nbsp;Perform GEMAB walk throughs at beginning/end of shift with other Supervisors.</p><ul><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>Key Behavioral Competencies:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to recognize and encourage the behaviors that contribute to teamwork</li><li>Ability to communicate and work effectively with all associates in a team environment</li><li>Must be detail oriented</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>III. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:&nbsp;</strong>Education and Experience equivalent to:</p><p><strong>Education/Certification:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Manufacturing or related field preferred. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted. &nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>IV: Experience/Knowledge/Qualifications and Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>1-2 years of supervisory experience in production, preferably in the food industry or manufacturing is required</li><li>AIB certification a plus</li><li>Working knowledge of computers, including MS office applications</li><li>Willingness to work varied shifts, days, including nights (start-ups), weekends and holidays. (May be 2<sup>nd</sup> shift predominantly)</li><li>Demonstrated ability to motivate and train associates within a team oriented environment</li><li>Must be self-directed and able to work without close supervision - position requires high energy and &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; motivation and a strong desire to drive positive change</li><li>Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Strong leadership and team building skills</li><li>Excellent communication skills</li><li>Bilingual - English/Spanish is preferred</li><li>Good communications skills, hardworking, dependable, safety conscious and bilingual</li><li>Knowledgeable of FSMA/BRC and OSHA regulations</li><li>Must be able to work standing or walking for long periods of time, bending and squatting occasionally, work in a fast-paced environment, and work in cold refrigerated and frozen conditions</li></ul></div></div>\n",
