If you're driven by a commitment to inclusion and a belief in the rights of all individuals to work in the community, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Desired Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Education: A high school diploma or above is preferred.</li>\n<li>Experience: Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.<br></li>\n<li>Skills: Good verbal and writing skills in English, organizational and classroom management skills are a must.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</span></p>\n<p>· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</p>\n<p>· Experience leading individuals in educational activities is highly valued.</p>\n<p>· Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.</p>\n<p>· Ability to use computer programs and other software related to the classroom.</p>\n<p>· Experience using Therap is highly desired.</p>\n<p>· A firm belief that individuals with developmental disabilities have the right to work in the community.</p>\n<p>· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.</p>\n<p>· Sensitivity to and respect for the personal preferences of individuals.</p>\n<p>· Professional appearance and demeanor are required.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:</span></p>\n<p>· Learn and follow Instructor's program routines to enhance the learning environment.</p>\n<p>· Assist and reinforce classroom management strategies set by instructor.</p>\n<p>· Will assure health, safety, and welfare of individual served at all times.</p>\n<p>· Assist instructor with attendance procedures and follow emergency procedures when necessary.</p>\n<p>· Will work creatively with various group settings, such as group and one to one settings.</p>\n<p>· Will assess the needs of the individual and provide guidance to participate in program activities.</p>\n<p>· Keep accurate record of individuals going out of classroom for bathroom, therapy, field trips, etc.</p>\n<p>· Encourage/help individuals to participate in classroom activities by actively engaging with individuals.</p>\n<p>· Provide feedback to social services staff on individuals' progress in class.</p>\n<p>· Inform social services staff in regards to individuals' behavioral, health, and safety issues.</p>\n<p>· Assumes classroom responsibilities when instructor is out. Assist instructor with tracking of individuals' goal in Therap.</p>",
