Description

Hungerford is committed to working with Indigenous communities to provide meaningful learning and development opportunities, enhance employment options, and help to grow the next generation of Indigenous leaders. We are pleased to offer an Indigenous Youth Program for High School students. The Indigenous Internship Program is offered to all Indigenous/Aboriginal (First Nations, Inuit, Metis) people of Canada currently attending high school in grades 10-12, or who have recently graduated. The program provides an opportunity for youth to participate in a work experience program during a school break. Hungerford collaborates with the students and their relatives to develop a customized experience program, based on each student’s unique interests, skills, and career aspirations. Students will receive an introduction to our business and services, participate in activities with an external partner (such as an environmental learning experience), and visit Indigenous heritage and cultural sites. 2023 Indigenous Internship Program – Application Process How to apply: Please complete the Application Package. In your application package, we request the following items: 1. Resume: please submit a current resume outlining any previous work or internship experiences. Please ensure all contact information is current. 2. References: please provide 1-2 references; these can be job or character references and can include employers, teachers, counselors, community members, and relatives. 3. Cover Letter: Please provide a cover letter outlining why you are interested in this internship opportunity at Hungerford Properties, how your background and experience have led you to apply, and what you hope to learn from your time at our organization. We sincerely thank all applicants in advance.
