When Walker Tape® wins, so do you.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Job Summary</p>\n<p>The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment to minimize downtime and support operations. This role includes performing preventative maintenance, assisting with installations and fabrication, and ensuring accurate documentation while adhering to safety standards. Ideal candidates have strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience in a manufacturing environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Duties/Responsibilities </p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Equipment Maintenance</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure proper functionality and minimize downtime.</li>\n<li>Assist in prolonging the life of machinery by addressing potential issues proactively.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Troubleshooting</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system problems, and develop effective solutions.</li>\n<li>Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, minimizing disruptions to operations.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS)</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Utilize a CMMS to log all preventive maintenance tasks, work orders, and emergency repairs.</li>\n<li>Provide detailed records of actions performed, such as notes, time tracking, and findings, to support data-driven decisions.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Equipment Installation and Fabrication</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in the installation or relocation of new and existing equipment, ensuring proper setup and functionality.</li>\n<li>Fabricate, machine, and repair parts as needed using shop tools and machinery (e.g., MIG, TIG welding, mills, lathes, etc.).</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Collaboration and Communication</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with other departments to coordinate maintenance efforts, equipment installations, and relocations.</li>\n<li>Communicate effectively with supervisors, equipment operators, and coworkers regarding maintenance schedules, findings, and updates.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Safety Compliance</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.</li>\n<li>Proactively identify and address potential safety hazards in the workplace.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Facility Maintenance</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform additional tasks as needed, including maintenance of HVAC systems, compressors, and facility lighting.</li>\n<li>Support general maintenance of the overall facility as required.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Documentation</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep detailed and accurate records of all maintenance activities.</li>\n<li>Provide findings and reports to the Maintenance Manager or supervisory team as requested.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional Duties</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li>\n<li>Remain flexible and prepared to undertake tasks beyond the listed responsibilities.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ol>\n<p> </p>\n<p> Education/Experience</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial or manufacturing setting experience preferred</li>\n<li>Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems</li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance best practices</li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics<br><br></li>\n<li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li>\n<li>Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.</li>\n<li>Effective communication and teamwork skills.</li>\n<li>Technical degree or certification in mechanical maintenance is a plus</li>\n<li>Demonstrate our Core Values and a focus on great company culture</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Physical Requirements</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prolonged periods of standing and walking.</li>\n<li>Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery</li>\n<li>Must be able to visually inspect machines.</li>\n<li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Walker Tape® is an equal employment opportunity employer that participates in the E-Verify program as required by law.
