This position plays a critical role in assembling battery packs and battery management systems according to precise specifications and quality standards. The successful candidate will work hands-on with various components and tools, following assembly instructions, blueprints, and technical documents. Attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and commitment to quality are essential in this role.</p><p>From your first day with Custom Power, your success will be our top priority. This role will offer hands-on experience in logistics, providing opportunities to grow within our dynamic organization.</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong> include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.</p><ul><li><strong>Assembly of Products:</strong> Assemble battery packs and battery management systems by following blueprints, work instructions, and assembly guides to ensure accurate and consistent production.</li><li><strong>Component Handling:</strong> Handle and position small components, wires, and connectors with precision and care to prevent damage and ensure proper alignment.</li><li><strong>Use of Tools &amp; Equipment:</strong> Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete assembly tasks efficiently and safely.</li><li><strong>Quality Control:</strong> Conduct inspections of in-process and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards.</li><li><strong>Soldering &amp; Wiring:</strong> Perform basic soldering and wire routing as required for assembly.</li><li><strong>Documentation:</strong> Record assembly data, complete production checklists, and maintain accurate documentation of work performed.<strong>&nbsp;</strong></li><li><strong>Adherence to Safety Protocols:</strong> Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe working environment.</li><li><strong>Inventory Management:</strong> Notify supervisors of low stock or the need for replenishment of components, ensuring production timelines are met.</li><li><strong>Problem Solving:</strong> Identify issues with parts, materials, or processes and communicate with supervisors to resolve them promptly.</li><li><strong>Equipment Maintenance:</strong> Conduct basic cleaning and maintenance of assembly tools and equipment to ensure functionality and longevity.</li><li><strong>Cross-Department Collaboration:</strong> Work closely with Quality Control, Engineering, and Production Supervisors to address any production challenges and maintain workflow.</li><li><strong>Continuous Improvement:</strong> Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain high-quality standards.</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>1+ years of experience in production assembly, electronics assembly, or manufacturing</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions</li><li>Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized assembly equipment</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions</li><li>Basic soldering experience is preferred but not required</li><li>Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and maintain focus for extended periods</li><li>Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.</li><li>Ability to stand, bend, and work with small components for extended periods</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed</li><li>Proficiency in basic computer applications</li><li>Ability to work Monday through Friday with occasional overtime as needed.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<em>Custom Power is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
