As part of our dynamic company, you'll interface with Airworthiness Authorities such as EASA, FAA, AESA, and others, defining strategies to achieve certification for large UAVs using STANAG-4671, MIL-STD-516C, and relevant directives. Your responsibilities will include:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Defining, releasing, and executing Airworthiness Plans and Processes for European Operations.</li>\n<li>Act as main point of contact and liason with the airworthiness authorities and airspace owners.</li>\n<li>Proposing Airworthiness Requirements, and means of compliance for various programs.</li>\n<li>Leading the collection and review of system artifacts to demonstrate airworthiness compliance.</li>\n<li>Reviewing and approving supplier artifacts supporting system-level airworthiness.</li>\n<li>Achieving certifications in DO-178C, DO-254, and similar standards for proprietary airborne software and hardware.</li>\n<li>Defining and releasing Declaration of Airworthiness for UAS experimental certificates.</li>\n<li>Collaborate/influence in the development of Airworthiness directives by Regulators (Airworthiness and ATM).</li>\n</ul>\n<p>As part of the position you will also support the  Systems Engineering Design assurance process and the development of different aircraft systems through requirements capture and verification.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Related Field.</li>\n<li>Experience leading aircraft/rotorcraft to certification by recognized aerospace standards.</li>\n<li>Lead engineer experience in design and development of certified components, subsystems, or systems.</li>\n<li>Detailed knowledge of general aviation legislation.</li>\n<li>Previous Design Assurance experience.</li>\n<li>Flight Operations experience and airspace knowledge.</li>\n<li>Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and Spanish.</li>\n<li>Experience with ALM tools such as Polarion or Doors.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications (Any of the following are Assets)</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master’s degree in Engineering or Related Field.</li>\n<li>Past connections with certification/airworthiness authorities : EASA, FAA or military entities</li>\n<li>Experience leading certification of UAV systems.</li>\n<li>CVE or DER experience for avionics and/or structures</li>\n<li>Development experience in compliance with standards like DO-178C, DO-254.</li>\n<li>Experience in UAV certification with EASA in SAIL 3 category or above.
