    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\">Position Summary: The Maintenance Utility Team Member supports the overall upkeep and repair of the property. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, enjoys learning new skills, and is ready to assist with basic maintenance tasks throughout the hotel. Training is provided, and no previous technical experience is required.</p><p>This role will primarily be scheduled on a 3pm to 11pm schedule to provide maintenance coverage for our guests.&nbsp;</p><p>Qualification Standards&nbsp;</p><p>Education &amp; Experience: &nbsp;</p><ul><li data-pasted=\"true\">Some prior maintenance experience required. Extensive prior experience is not required.&nbsp;</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Previous customer service or hotel experience is a plus but not required.</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">High school diploma or equivalent preferred.</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Ability to read, write, and communicate in basic English.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Physical Requirements/Competencies &nbsp;</p><ul><li data-pasted=\"true\">Long hours are sometimes required.</li><li>Must be able to climb and descend stairs.</li><li>Must be able to move quickly and agilely if a situation requiring quick assistance arises.</li><li>Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk long distances, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms.</li><li>Multitask</li><li>Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.</li><li>Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels.</li><li>Ability to work Outdoors/Indoors, around dust and or mite hazards.&nbsp;</li><li>Work around chemicals, fumes and or odor hazards</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Other abilities, skills, knowledge:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Must have a valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li><li>General interest in learning basic maintenance skills such as simple electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or pool care.</li><li>Training and opportunities for growth will be provided, including for certifications, equipment, and safety procedures.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Duties &amp; Functions&nbsp;</p><p>Essential:&nbsp;</p><ul><ul type=\"disc\" data-pasted=\"true\"><li>Interact with guests and employees in a friendly and service-focused manner.</li><li>&nbsp;Assist with routine maintenance tasks in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.</li><li>&nbsp;Support preventive maintenance efforts, such as changing light bulbs, replacing filters, and basic equipment checks.</li><li>&nbsp;Learn and assist with pool and spa upkeep such as cleaning and vacuuming.</li><li>&nbsp;Help troubleshoot simple maintenance issues and escalate more complex concerns to senior team members.</li><li>&nbsp;Assist with basic plumbing tasks like unclogging drains or replacing simple fixtures.</li><li>&nbsp;Support simple electrical tasks such as replacing switches or outlets with guidance.</li><li>&nbsp;Learn to perform minor furniture repairs and basic equipment handling.</li><li>&nbsp;Help maintain maintenance logs and documentation as trained.</li><li>&nbsp;Follow all safety procedures when handling tools and chemicals.</li><li>&nbsp;Work independently or with a team depending on the task.</li><li>Assist with Public Area upkeep.&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;Perform additional tasks as assigned.</li></ul></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>This hotel functions 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
