    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>Monitors:</p>\n<p>-The performance of each managed vessel</p>\n<p>- If the designated Fleet is operated efficiently and as per:</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Courier New'\"><span>o   </span></span>Flag and statutory requirements</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Courier New'\"><span>o   </span></span>Company’s guidelines</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>Be aware of critical operation deficiencies, if any, and ensures implementation of company’s SMS</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>Ensures the awareness for all seagoing staff of the need to operate the vessels to the highest standards consistent with:</p>\n<p><span>-          </span>International and National legislation</p>\n<p><span>-          </span>Safety, in a manner which is conscious of the environmental protection need</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>Appoints ship agents for necessary services as regards with the vessel’s employment</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>Enters into the relevant contracts for each vessel as required in co-ordination with the Purchasing</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>Interfaces with agents and port authorities</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>Utilizes port time effectively by coordinating with all internal and external parties</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>Ensures that customer’s requirements and expectations are understood and met enhancing overall relations through daily contacts.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span><span>Handling of STS screening process and assessment in compliance with company’s established procedures</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span><span>Submission of the applicable vetting questionnaires whenever required</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span><span>Screens, confirms accuracy of FDAs and maintain required entries into the company’s accounting software</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>Monitors status of stevedore damages sustained by Fleet vessels</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span><span>Handling of all husbandry agency matters, quotations, appointment, Disbursement Accounts </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>Keeps records for all of them in coordination with assigned superintendent</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>Co-operates with the Crew department, and cargo handling / operation in a safe and cost-effective way always according to:</p>\n<p>- Our SMS</p>\n<p>- ISO</p>\n<p>- ISPS</p>\n<p>- International requirements</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>In case of his absence, transfer of his responsibilities shall be passed to the FM. A brief up-date is necessary to his deputy for all pending matters on each of his assigned vessels</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>Monitors vessels transit through High Risk Areas or areas outside INL limits</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>Liaises with Scorpio Insurance for additional premiums/coverage</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>Ensures local trading requirements are observed</p>\n<p><span>-          </span>i.e. SPRO coverage, AGM certificates, ECRC Canada, etc</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>Maintain records for Vessel port movements &amp; cargoes</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>During the absence of the Marine Superintendent monitors, in coordination with fleet staff, the progress of the vessels’ planned fabric maintenance ensuring vessels’ physical appearance up to Company’s standards</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications/Experience </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>At least Captain Class B License or a University Degree in Shipping or minimum 1-year experience in a similar office position</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial Narrow',sans-serif\"><span>-          </span></span>Previous sea experience on tankers will be preferable</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>Good command of English language and knowledge in computers/software</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>Good communication and negotiation abilities</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Symbol\"><span>·         </span></span>Capable to monitor and stay abreast of:</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial Narrow',sans-serif\"><span>-          </span></span>Development in changing legislation and international requirements</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial Narrow',sans-serif\"><span>-          </span></span>Other development in the Marine industry</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12.0pt\">Attending training courses and seminar as needed</span></p>",
