Overview Registered Nurse, Clinical Supervisor, Urology Specialist Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift Covenant Medical Group Overview: Covenant Medical Group is the employed and managed medical practice organization of Covenant Health, providing comprehensive care across East Tennessee. With more than 300 physicians and advanced practice providers in 20 communities, our team delivers expertise across a broad spectrum of specialties from primary care and walk-in clinics to preventive medicine and advanced surgical and subspecialty services. We are committed to offering coordinated, patient-centered care that spans the continuum of health needs, ensuring access to exceptional providers close to home. Position Summary: The Clinical Supervisor II is a registered nurse responsible for the overall quality of patient care at a specified site(s) of Covenant Medical Group. The Clinical Supervisor II has oversite for clinical services performed in either a specialty clinic that is of a size that would require a clinical supervisor role or has responsibility for clinical oversite of at least three or more distinct clinics (specialty or primary care). The supervisor plans, directs, coordinates and controls the work of the professional and para-nursing personnel in their assigned clinic(s). The Clinical Supervisor II is also responsible for daily operations, and performs the majority of their responsibilities in the work area in conjunction with staff. Responsibilities Responsible for recruiting, interviewing/hiring, staffing, employee development, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures. Responsible for supervision of staff to include RNs, Nurse Clinicians and Medical Assistants. Responsible for team development and leadership of staff at a specified Covenant Medical Management location(s). Responsible for establishing and enhancing a collaborative working relationship with physicians and non-physician practitioners. Determines optimal team composition by making day by day team assignments based on appointments for physicians or non-physician practitioners and chemotherapy treatments. Demonstrates an understanding of workload ratios, individual team member skills related to competency, and the formation of optimal teams in order to provide top quality customer care. Schedules and prepares for clinical staff meetings in conjunction with the Office Manager. Establishes and evaluates core competencies for all clinical team members in assigned clinic(s). Identifies learning needs of clinical team members and coaches employees towards meeting those needs. Supervises and approves payroll preparation; and, monitors sick time, overtime, and paid time off for clinical team members. Maintains knowledge of all issues relating to Clinical Services. Serves as liaison with the Office Manager, Practice Manager, physicians, and additional individuals responsible for coordinated customer care in order to achieve mission/vision goals. Reviews and responds to quality of care problems with staff, physicians, and customers. Brings escalated issues to the Clinic Manager for evaluation and response. Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills, including appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the entire life span. Collaborates with the patient, physician and other care team members as part of a team based approach to overall patient care. Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested. Performs other duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority. Minimum Experience: Minimum two (2) years of nursing leadership experience. Licensure Requirement: TN Registered Nurse License
