This role focuses on<br>educational and cultural trips that explore the history, heritage, and traditions of<br>Cyprus. The successful candidate will have a deep interest in Cypriot culture and a<br>passion for running and supervising cultural events.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan and lead day trips and longer excursions to historical sites, museums,<br>cultural landmarks, and traditional villages across Cyprus.</li>\n<li>Provide boarders with engaging historical and cultural context during trips,<br>explaining the significance of each location.</li>\n<li>Conduct risk assessments for all trips and ensure the safety of boarders at all<br>times.</li>\n<li>Supervise boarders during trips, maintaining appropriate staff-to-student ratios<br>and following safeguarding procedures.</li>\n<li>Coordinate trip schedules with the boarding management team, ensuring<br>alignment with academic and activity calendars.</li>\n<li>Manage trip logistics, including transport, permissions, budgets, and<br>communication with parents.</li>\n<li>Collect feedback from boarders after trips to improve future experiences.<br>Cultural and Heritage Responsibilities</li>\n<li>Design and implement a yearly cultural trip plan that showcases the richness<br>of Cypriot history, from ancient times to the present.</li>\n<li>Organise and supervise on-campus cultural events (e.g., Cypriot food<br>tastings, traditional music and dance workshops, heritage days).</li>\n<li>Share personal knowledge and enthusiasm for Cypriot traditions, helping<br>international boarders feel connected to the local culture.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with local guides, historians, and cultural organisations to<br>enhance trip experiences.</li>\n<li>Lead evening cultural sessions or storytelling events that complement daytime<br>excursions.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work according to the duty rota on sundays, including public holidays.</li>\n<li>Report any safeguarding or welfare concerns immediately to the Designated<br>Safeguarding Lead.</li>\n<li>Encourage boarders to use English as the primary language during trips and</li>\n</ul>\n<p>events.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in boarding staff training and house team meetings.</li>\n<li>Assist with activity planning using the Reach system.<br>Candidate Requirements</li>\n<li>Proven experience supervising trips or excursions for children or young<br>people.</li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of Cyprus&amp;#39;s history, heritage, and traditions, with a genuine<br>interest in sharing this knowledge.</li>\n<li>Experience in risk assessment and trip planning.</li>\n<li>Genuine passion for running and supervising cultural events.</li>\n<li>First aid qualification (desirable).</li>\n<li>Proficiency in Google Workspace and basic IT systems.</li>\n<li>Fluency in English; knowledge of Greek is an advantage but not required.        <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">     </span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Personal Attributes</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enthusiastic, well-organised, and culturally sensitive.</li>\n<li>Excellent communication and storytelling skills.</li>\n<li>Flexible and comfortable working evenings and weekends as required.         </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Friendly, professional team environment.</li>\n<li>Free meals when on duty.</li>\n<li>Regular training and professional development opportunities.</li>\n<li>Work mobile phone and laptop provided.</li>\n<li>Opportunity to work in a culturally rich, English-speaking environment.</li>\n<li>Competitive salary.</li>\n<li>Free parking.</li>\n</ul>",
