    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Element has an opportunity for a <strong>Metallurgist</strong> whose primary responsibility isto safely perform tests and report testing evaluations. Work is to be performed in accordance with established QA procedures.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Salary: $70K-$85K/yr</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepare and operate all equipment necessary to perform testing in the Metallurgical Lab</li>\n <li>Performs daily verifications and adjusts equipment baselines accordingly</li>\n <li>Performs standard and non standard metallurgical evaluations</li>\n <li>Maintains testing equipment for operation and performs routine housekeeping tasks associated with the area(s) trouble shooting as necessary.</li>\n <li>Insures that ample supplies are available for operation of testing area</li>\n <li>As needed, interface with clients on matters of concern/interest</li>\n <li>Other duties as required</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills / Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Degree/Diploma in Metallurgy or related discipline</li>\n <li>2-4 years of experience working in a laboratory in the field of metallurgy testing</li>\n <li>Good knowledge on international standards and codes</li>\n <li>Excellent report writing skill</li>\n <li>Good communication skills</li>\n <li>Self-motivated team playing with excellent organisational and communication skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p>NOTE:  This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.  U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), or U.S. Government export authorization is required.
