Someone who does not see leadership and technical depth as a trade-off, but as two things that make each other better. In this role, you will help build and steer a high-performing team of ML and AI Engineers, while staying an active contributor on client projects that actually ship. In practice your time is split roughly between 30% of leading the team and 70% of hands-on delivery.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>In this role you sit at the intersection of working across teams, offices, and disciplines. You report to the Head of ML at Sagacify and collaborate closely with the Craftzing delivery organisation.<br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">What you'll do :</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead, mentor, and grow a team of five ML/AI engineers <br></li>\n<li>Set and enforce quality standards, delivery frameworks and best practices <br></li>\n<li>Foster a culture of learning, innovation and knowledge sharing </li>\n<li>Own key client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and long-term trust <br></li>\n<li>Architect end-to-end AI applications orchestrating LLMs, vector databases or APIs <br></li>\n<li>Design and build autonomous agents and conversational systems <br></li>\n<li>Engineer and optimise RAG pipelines connecting enterprise data to LLMs <br></li>\n<li>Perform prompt and context engineering to improve output quality and reduce hallucinations <br></li>\n<li>Evaluate system quality through generative AI metrics and production monitoring <br></li>\n<li>Deploy and scale solutions with focus on latency, security and cost efficiency <br></li>\n<li>Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for model deployment <br></li>\n<li>Monitor production models across drift, quality metrics and operational costs <br></li>\n<li>Ensure versioning, reproducibility and safe rollout of models and AI services <br></li>\n<li>Collaborate with DevOps and Infrastructure teams for smooth delivery<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">You stay in the code, you stay in the architecture and you also grow the people around you. <br></span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">What you’ll work with :</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Core technologies :</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Python<br></li>\n<li>OpenAI API, Hugging Face Transformers<br></li>\n<li>LangChain, LangGraph, Langfuse<br></li>\n<li>FastAPI or Flask, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines<br></li>\n<li>Cloud GPU<br></li>\n<li>AWS (S3, SQS, IAM, RDS, etc.)<br></li>\n<li>Cursor</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Bonus points for experience with : </span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>TypeScript<br></li>\n<li>Azure</li>\n<li>AI-native engineering workflows: hands-on experience using AI coding agents and AI-assisted development environments (Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, Copilot, etc.), including context engineering, subagent orchestra…</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">About you :</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>You have 5 to 9+ years of experience, including a minimum 2-3 years in a tech lead role in ML/AI projects<br></li>\n<li>You have excellent communication skills, you're able to present to C-level stakeholders and facilitating workshops comfortably<br></li>\n<li>You have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple work-streams simultaneously<br></li>\n<li>You have the ability to coach and grow talent while remaining individually impactful on delivery<br></li>\n<li>You're curious and have a genuine passion for AI, with the ability to evaluate and adopt new tools quickly<br></li>\n<li>You can communicate fluently in Dutch, English and French, or at least the first two languages</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Don’t worry if you don’t tick every single box, what matters most is the right mindset and a drive to learn.
