    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">In 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN has acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">To ensure the achievement of this large-scale project, G Mining Ventures is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">I.T Technician </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The IT Technician is responsible for providing first-level technical support and assistance to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues and assisting with the maintenance of our IT Infrastructure. This position is OKO Site based on a rotational basis to provide on-site support to users and maintain network infrastructure. </span></span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Key Responsibilities </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\"><strong>Technical Support: </strong>Provide first-level support to end-users by troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\"><strong>Hardware and Software Installation: </strong>Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and peripherals.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\"><strong>User Account Management: </strong>Create, modify, and manage user accounts, and access permissions in accordance with company policies.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\"><strong>System Maintenance: </strong>Perform routine maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and backups, to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\"><strong>Documentation:</strong> Maintain accurate and detailed records of support activities, configurations, and procedures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\"><strong>Inventory Management:</strong> Assist with the management of IT inventory, including tracking hardware and software assets.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\"><strong>Collaboration:</strong> Work closely with other IT team members to support larger projects and initiatives and provide assistance as needed. </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 10.0pt\">Qualifications/Skills and Experience </span></strong><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Associate Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Basic certifications such as CompTIA A+ or equivalent are highly recommended.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">At least 2 Years Experience in a Technical Support role.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Technical skills and aptitude experience in hardware and software installations and maintenance.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Excellent communications skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Ability to manage resources and organize work plans.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Problem-solving ability, with a focus on customer service.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Strong understanding of desktop operating systems (Windows) and common office software.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Knowledge of basic networking principles (LAN, VPN, IP configurations).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Ability to work independently and manage time effectively </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Working Conditions</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Position based at the OKO Project site - Fly-in/Fly-out</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Work Schedule – 28 days on/14 days off</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Transportation, accommodation, and meals are provided on site</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Compensation Package</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Permanent, full-time role</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Competitive salary</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Competitive benefits, bonus and group insurances</span></li>\n</ul>",
