You will be responsible for the area as assigned (Media &ndash; Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Emulsion systems, etc.). This is a hands-on role that involves planning of work, studying the resources and execution of the installation and commissioning of equipment of plants sub-sections as per project schedule and within the scope of supplies and services provided by SMS Group. We offer company events, activities, and opportunities to participate in charitable initiatives that benefit the communities where we are located.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><a href=\"http://www.sms-group.us/\" target=\"_self\">www.sms-group.us</a></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>What you&#39;ll do</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Heavy travel to our project job sites</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The area site manager&rsquo;s job description entails studying project drawings and taking note for starting site activities in advance</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Making daily/weekly installation plans of their respective area as per project erection schedule</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ensure work front availability for SV&rsquo;s, Installation Company, customer, etc.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Checking of foundation, establishing bench markings, establishing center lines, check the availability of equipment</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">There must be consistent planning and taking notes of all measurements</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintaining measuring record during installation phase for each measured equipment</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Preparing the installation completion document, to record the successful completion of installation of all equipment&rsquo;s and sub equipment&rsquo;s in accordance to the drawing</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The area site manager must know the right equipment to be used for a particular project having studied the site before starting work on it</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">He/she must take care of commissioning activities in coordination with Electric and automation</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">He/she will oversee the entire project and make sure it is completed as at when due</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The area site manager must be a problem solver. He/she must be able to work, think, make calculations, and take the right decision even when under pressure</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assisting the GSM / SM with site-related order execution</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Is familiar with state, federal and local safety requirements and enforces a rigid safety program during the construction phase. Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be acquainted using basic computer applications for drawing reading, report writing, etc.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be able to interpret the project installation and commissioning schedule, to plan the works accordingly</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Prepares updated progress reports and summarizes problem areas or concerns.
