In this role Under the supervision of a Professional Electrical Engineer, you will perform project related work in the utilities industry designing and planning power distribution facilities.</p><p><br></p><p><u>What you will do:</u></p><ul><li>Gather information from various record drawings, GIS maps, Google Earth and other sources</li><li>Investigate project needs and provide solutions to complete the assigned project&nbsp;</li><li>Determine Right-of-Way requirements for project design</li><li>Conduct project site visits to take photos, verify utility locations, take field measurements, verify power pole equipment</li><li>Compare survey file provided, with photos and research data to determine if it is up to date and an accurate representation of existing conditions</li><li>Use available standards to create base files and necessary subsequent files</li><li>Use all available data from research to determine possible design conflicts</li><li>Assist in designing underground electric projects using MicroStation software&nbsp;</li><li>Assist in preparing typical support drawings using available standards and procedures&nbsp;</li><li>Address review comments from senior staff, client and other reviewers</li><li>Prepare schematic plans or sketches using available standards and procedures&nbsp;</li><li>Catalog final signed and sealed drawings</li><li>Conduct peer to peer reviews</li></ul><p><br></p><p><u>Who you are:</u></p><p><br></p><p>You have good computer literacy and are not afraid to learn new programs and skills. You are a good communicator who not only has oral and written skills but are also an excellent listener with above average comprehension. Mathematics comes naturally to you and is used for problem-solving and analysis. You are a critical thinker who can apply knowledge to new assignments and uses critical thinking to bring everything together.
