The MA will work collaboratively with an LPN and/or RN to provide safe, knowledgeable, compassionate, educative, individualized and goal-directed nursing care to patients and their families in the Surgery Center.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist with admitting patients from the waiting room to the pro-op area</li>\n <li>Assist with dressing patients in proper surgical attire before surgery</li>\n <li>Hook-up patient monitors and obtain first set of vital signs and record</li>\n <li>assist patients during transfers on/off gurney　</li>\n <li>Keep PACU supplies well stocked</li>\n <li>Provides pre/post-operative care and instructions.</li>\n <li>Assists in surgery by preparing the laser room with supplies and sterilized equipment.</li>\n <li>Stocks all medication and medical supplies by proactively planning work week to ensure completion of required tasks.</li>\n <li>Calls to request pre/post-ops on surgery patients.</li>\n <li>Orders all medical supplies.</li>\n <li>Keeps up with all regular and emergency maintenance on medical equipment.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of one-year Medical Assistant experience, outpatient surgery experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) </li>\n <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li>\n <li>Ophthalmology experience preferred</li>\n <li>Sterile processing/instrument prep experience preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Min</h2>\n<h2>Max</h2>",
