This position will work 60 hours per pay period.</strong><br><br>The&nbsp;<b>OB technician</b>&nbsp;is a member of the of the obstetrics team providing expertise in handling surgical instruments and equipment during routine and emergency operative cases. The&nbsp;OB technician assembles and prepares equipment, instruments, and supplies for all obstetrical operative deliveries, using surgeon preference cards as a reference. Sets up and maintains the intra-operative sterile field while anticipating and responding to the surgeon’s intra-operative needs. Supports the surgeon during complicated or anticipated high risk vaginal births, including but not limited to mid-forceps, breech deliveries, double set ups, and any other birth where scrub and technical expertise is required/requested. The technician may function as a second assist.
