Our New Hope Youth Center in New Hope, Michigan, provides trauma-informed short-term and long-term residential care for females ages 10-17 who have experienced abuse or neglect.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We support youth who present with behavioral and mental health needs, offering a structured, therapeutic environment focused on individualized mental health services. Programming includes individual, family, and group therapy, life skills training, and educational services designed to help youth build a foundation for a successful and healthy future. Responsibilities include supervision of personnel, monitoring youth activities, ensuring policy and safety compliance, and coordinating daily operations to promote a structured and safe environment.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise staff, assign duties, evaluate performance, and provide feedback</li>\n<li>Maintain communication with leadership regarding staff performance and issues</li>\n<li>Develop schedules, manage staff coverage, and oversee shift operations</li>\n<li>Coordinate youth appointments, transportation, and intake/discharge procedures</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with state regulations, safety protocols, and behavior management systems</li>\n<li>Administer medication and maintain accurate documentation</li>\n<li>Monitor facility security through checks and searches</li>\n<li>Complete detailed reports on incidents, staffing, youth behavior, and maintenance needs</li>\n<li>Lead emergency response efforts during incidents such as fire or severe weather</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-weight: bold\">Other Duties Include</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain high standards of role model behavior for youth</li>\n<li>Participate in training and development activities as required</li>\n<li>Report incidents or concerns involving youth or staff</li>\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-weight: bold\">Requirements</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Minimum three years working with youth in residential treatment, with behavioral health or substance abuse needs</span></li>\n<li>Supervisory experience preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>First Aid/CPR (or ability to obtain)</li>\n<li>Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills</li>\n<li>Ability to interact with youth and stakeholders professionally</li>\n<li>Knowledge of trauma-informed care and behavior management practices</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Demands:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be in good health and able to participate in physical activities with youth</li>\n<li>Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and intervene physically if necessary</li>\n<li>Ability to transport youth and staff</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Other:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid driver's license with good driving record</li>\n<li>Must pass required background checks</li>\n<li>Must be at least 21 years of age</li>\n<li>Ability to work extended or varied hours when needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Equal Opportunity Employer</span><br><br></p>",
