You will triage the order based on date and time needed, select and carefully pack life-saving blood products with the correct temperature regulating product to ensure safe transport.  You will communicate with hospital clients, volunteers, and vendors, and maintain product records to preserve traceability.  </p><p></p><p>As a Red Cross Team member, you will take care of your team members – show up for every shift and give 100% while you’re there. Interact in a positive, proactive, and customer-focused manner with both internal and external customers, demonstrating care and compassion at all times. </p><p></p><p><span class=\"emphasis-3\"><i>WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD:</i>  </span></p><p><span class=\"emphasis-3\"><i>Key Responsibilities</i> </span></p><ul><li><p>Ensure products/samples are suitable for release for distribution, while meeting production goals.  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Perform good inventory management practices throughout the manufacturing and shipping process  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Prioritize workload to meet production and customer requirements.  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Perform data entry associated with further manufacturing, labeling, storage, ordering, and shipping; maintain and review accurate physical and electronic manufacturing records </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Analyze and make decisions based on visual inspection and information provided from other departments to meet time requirements and quality standards.    </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Identify and quarantine products/samples that don’t meet quality requirements, and perform disposition of unacceptable product </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>May make hospital deliveries as assigned </p></li></ul><p><i>The aforementioned responsibilities of the Distribution Technician describe the general nature and level of work and are not an exhaustive list.</i> </p><p></p><p><b>Standard Schedule</b>: This is a first shift position working 8am-4pm. The typical schedule will include four weekdays and one weekend day each week.</p><p></p><p><b>Pay Information</b>: The pay rate for this position is $19.00 per hour. There is a weekend premium of $2.00 per hour.</p><p></p><p><span class=\"emphasis-3\"><i>WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:</i> </span></p><ul><li><p>High School diploma or equivalent  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Two years’ experience in a regulatory, distribution or manufacturing environment is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Good computer skills, attention to detail, accurate documentation, and good decision-making skills.    </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Position may require a valid driver’s license </p></li></ul><p></p><p><span class=\"emphasis-3\"><i>Physical Requirements:</i> </span></p><p>Requires standing, stretching, stooping and bending for extended time periods.  Lift, pull, push and move objects of up to 50 pounds.  May work in walk-in refrigerator/freezers for periods of time.  May be required to wear protective clothing such as lab coats, gloves, face shields, etc.  </p><p></p><p><span class=\"emphasis-3\"><i>BENEFITS FOR YOU:</i> </span><br />As a mission-based organization, we believe our team needs great support to do great work.
