Description This position has an initial appointment of 2 years. Location - This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person. Work primarily takes place at North Campus, Edmonton. Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Change Management, the Senior Consultant, Organizational Change Management (OCM) is a key member of the Office of Strategic Transformation & Delivery, supporting institution-wide initiatives that strengthen how the university operates, delivers services, and transforms in alignment with strategic priorities. This role partners with academic, research, and administrative leaders to plan, implement, and sustain changes related to people, processes, technology, and organizational capability. The Senior Consultant provides expert guidance on change strategy, readiness, stakeholder engagement, communications, education, and adoption planning. They lead change activities for complex transformation initiatives and foster a culture of change leadership and continuous improvement across the university community. Responsibilities Lead development and execution of comprehensive change management strategies and plans for large-scale, complex university initiatives. Partner with senior leaders, deans, department heads, and project sponsors to build sponsorship and commitment. Provide expert advice on engagement strategies tailored to academic, research, administrative, and student audiences. Collaborate with training and capability teams to design and deliver learning programs enabling adoption. Recommend and implement strategies to reinforce change, sustain adoption, and ensure long-term transformation. Contribute to institutional frameworks, standards, and tools to embed OCM as a core capability. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, education, communications, social sciences, public administration, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in organizational change management, transformation, or related discipline. Experience supporting or leading change in a complex organization, preferably in post-secondary, public sector, or research environments. Professional certification in change management (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) is considered an asset. Advanced expertise in change strategy, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and adoption planning. Strong facilitation skills; ability to engage senior leaders and diverse academic audiences. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. Demonstrated ability to lead OCM for initiatives with significant cultural, procedural, and technological impact. Ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams and navigate ambiguity with diplomacy and tact.
