Applies independent professional judgment to adapt the procedure plan to optimize examination results</li>\n <li>Facilitate diagnostic cardiology patient care services inclusive of testing rendered in cardiopulmonary, ECHO, nuclear, treadmill and procedure room.</li>\n <li>Draft procedural reporting for final physician interpretation.  Initiate billing for procedures performed.</li>\n <li>Knowledge base of therapeutic medications and the effects of on medical testing.</li>\n <li>Operate medical equipment including, but not limited to, treadmill systems, EKG machines, vital signs monitor, IV infusion pumps, nebulizer, glucometer, defibrillator, etc.</li>\n <li>Maintain contents of crash cart including testing of defibrillator and oxygen cylinder content.</li>\n <li>The   Diagnostic   Nurse/Paramedic   is   alert   to   potentially   hazardous situations and is constantly  mindful of  the  safety  and  security  of  the patient.</li>\n <li>Anticipates crisis circumstances and initiates required intervention.</li>\n <li>Respond to and initiate established intervention in Code Blue or other life-threatening circumstances.</li>\n <li>Report and process errors, omissions and incidents promptly in order to communicate unusual occurrence, evaluates need for change in policies or procedures, and assists in planning for prevention.</li>\n <li>Completes and maintains accurate documentation related to the performance of duties.</li>\n <li>Participate in procedure updates and the development of new procedures as needed.</li>\n <li>Participates in laboratory accreditation processes.</li>\n <li>Participates in department quality improvement processes.</li>\n <li>Travel to non-primary clinic location(s) to execute job functions as outlined in the job description.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Employee maintains current licenses and/or certifications required for the position.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform other duties as requested by Clinic Administrator and/or Diagnostic Imaging Manager to facilitate the smooth and effective operations of the office.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong>· Graduate of a RN/LPN accredited program.· Emergency Medical Technician (paramedic level or equivocal program.)Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Health Sciences</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong>· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cardiology.<strong>License(s)/Certification(s):</strong>· Professional Licensure · BCLS· Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
