PA</p>\n<p><strong>Availability of Position: </strong>6/15/26 - 8/14/26</p>\n<p><strong>Schedule: </strong>FT, M-F 8:00am-4:00pm</p>\n<p><strong>Reporting Relationship: </strong>Community Center Director/Corps Officer</p>\n<p><strong>Salary: </strong>$20.00 per hour</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p>The Salvation Army is hiring and offers truly excellent benefit package to<strong> eligible</strong> employees including:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Generous paid time off every year that includes: holidays, up to 3 personal days, vacation time and sick time.</li>\n <li> Employer funded Pension Plan (company contributions begin after 1 year of employment)</li>\n <li> Comprehensive health care coverage with low cost employee premiums, co-pays and deductibles</li>\n <li> Eligibility for supplemental insurance plans including Short Term Disability, AFLAC and Voluntary Term Life</li>\n <li> Flexible Spending Accounts</li>\n <li> Eligibility for the Federal Government’s Public Student Loan Forgiveness Program</li>\n <li> Most importantly – a job with a good purpose!</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Position Overview: </strong>The Day Camp Cordinator is a full time seasonal position that will assist with the running of the Corps Summer Camp Program, including assisting in hiring of staff, establishing and maintaining programs during the summer.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Description of Position:  </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>The Day Camp Coordinator will assist the Corps Officers/Assistant Corps Officer with creative oversight and direction with every aspect of the daily Summer Day Camp Program, as well as being involved with hiring staff, orientation, and supervision.</li>\n <li>The Day Camp Coordinator will interact with parents and campers and must possess the ability and desire to work side by side with them for an exceptional experience of spiritual, emotional, physical, and intellecrual enhancement while in their care.</li>\n <li>The Day Camp Coordinator will perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n <li>The Day Camp Coordinator maintains a positive and professional demeanor during ineractions with members, guests, collegues, and the community.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><em>The above list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the candidate will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.</em></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Requirements:   </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Completed degree (Bachlors or Masters) </li>\n <li>Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in directing similar programs.</li>\n <li>Strong interest in educational development of children</li>\n <li>Working with a Christian organization we ask for a relationship with Jesus Christ.</li>\n <li>Good Communication Skills.</li>\n <li>Strong Work Ethic.</li>\n <li>Organizational Skills.</li>\n <li>Flexible</li>\n <li>Basic Technology Skills</li>\n <li>Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Law requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and PA DHS Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check.
