TMH is the region's healthcare leader and top provider of advanced care with a 772-bed acute care hospital and the region's only:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Level II Trauma Center </li>\n <li>Primary Stroke Center </li>\n <li>Level III Neonatal Intensive Care </li>\n <li>Pediatric Intensive Care </li>\n <li>The most advanced cancer, heart and vascular, orthopedic & surgery programs in the Panhandle. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Our system also includes a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centers, six residency programs and more than 50 affiliated physician practices. </p>\n<h2>HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT</h2>\n<p>Performs phlebotomy on all age and acuity levels using established procedures and safety devices; ensure accurate specimen identification and integrity; responsible for assuring that all aliquoting and separation is done with precision and accuracy on a timely basis; must have an understanding of specimen requirements and be able to determine appropriateness of specimens received; responsible for reporting of patient results to the appropriate client by charting, telephone, fax, modem or computer; responsible for assuring accurate input of patient demographics and insurance information.</p>\n<p>Behavioral Criteria: Responsible for daily billing operations, responsible for sending specimens to and receiving results from reference laboratories, professionally answers phones, provides reception and general clerical duties for the laboratory; performs routine centrifuge maintenance and inventory of supplies, provides assistance and information to outreach locations; assists Section Head and other Laboratory staff as needed.</p>\n<p><strong>Reports:</strong></p>\n<p>Med Lab Section Head, Phlebotomist/Lead, and Senior Med Tech.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Supervises:</strong></p>\n<p>None</p>\n<h2>WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Education:</strong></p>\n<p>High School graduate or equivalent</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Required Experience: </strong></p>\n<p>No training or experience required. One (1) year of job-related experience (including phlebotomy) preferred</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required Certification/License/Registry:</strong></p>\n<p>Incumbent operates a TMH vehicle and requires a valid state driver license. Required to be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and with a minimum of two (2) years of licensed driving experience. Required to provide a seven (7)- year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) prior to employment.
