We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.</p>\n<h2>Could This Be For You?</h2>\n<p>Fillauer is hiring a full-time Senior Fabrication Technician in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Senior Fabrication Technician serves as a subject matter expert and technical leader within the fabrication team. This role provides advanced technical support, mentorship to junior technicians, and hands-on expertise in the fabrication of custom orthotic and prosthetic devices, with a primary focus on upper extremity prosthetic devices. The Senior Technician is expected to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the lab.</p>\n<h2>Your Impact</h2>\n<p><strong>Core Fabrication</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work in a laboratory setting fabricating custom upper extremity prosthetic and orthotic devices to exacting specifications</li>\n <li>Configure and construct devices to specifications established by a physician or other licensed health care provider</li>\n <li>Utilize hand tools, power tools, precision instruments, custom fixtures, drill presses, arbor presses, ovens, heat guns, and other light-duty equipment</li>\n <li>Disassemble, repair, and reassemble defective or worn devices and appliances</li>\n <li>Perform sewing and/or plastic thermoforming as required by device specifications</li>\n <li>Interpret technical documents including diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and written/verbal instructions</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Senior-Level Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as technical lead and subject matter expert for complex prosthetic fabrication cases</li>\n <li>Mentor, train, and provide day-to-day guidance to junior and mid-level fabrication technicians</li>\n <li>Lead quality review of fabricated devices, identifying and resolving defects prior to clinical delivery</li>\n <li>Collaborate closely with clinicians to optimize fit, function, comfort, and cosmetic outcomes for patients</li>\n <li>Evaluate and recommend improvements to fabrication processes, workflows, and equipment utilization</li>\n <li>Assist in development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and fabrication best practices</li>\n <li>Support onboarding and cross-training initiatives to build team capability and redundancy</li>\n <li>Act as a resource for troubleshooting complex fabrication challenges and non-standard device configurations</li>\n <li>Maintain safe, organized, and compliant laboratory environment; lead by example in safety and housekeeping standards</li>\n <li>Participate in quality assurance programs, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Minimum Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in O&P preferred</li>\n <li>4-6 years of progressive experience in orthotic and/or prosthetic device fabrication</li>\n <li>Demonstrated expertise in upper/lower extremity prosthetic and/or fabrication strongly preferred</li>\n <li>Proficiency with shop hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment</li>\n <li>Experience with lamination, thermoforming, and composite materials</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret technicl documents, diagrams, and fabrication schematics</li>\n <li>Ability to stand and work on feet for 8+ hours per day</li>\n <li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain safe work practices</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> Preferred Qualifications </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>ABC or BOC Technician Certification (CTPO, CFOM, or equivalent)</li>\n <li>Experience with CAD/CAM systems used in O&P device design and fabrication</li>\n <li>Experience in a medical device manufacturing or ISO-regulated environment</li>\n <li>Prior experience in a training, lead, or senior technician role</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Success Factors</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Deep knowledge of O&P fabrication techniques, materials, and quality standards</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail with a commitment to precision and craftsmanship</li>\n <li>Effective communicator — able to collaborate with clinicians, engineers, and operations teams</li>\n <li>Self-directed with strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities under deadline</li>\n <li>Team-oriented mindset with a genuine commitment to developing others</li>\n <li>Continuous improvement orientation — always looking for ways to make the work better</li>\n <li>Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and professionalism</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Our Investment in You</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive Compensation Packages</li>\n <li>8 Paid National Holidays & 4 additional Floating Holidays</li>\n <li>PTO that includes Vacation and Sick time</li>\n <li>Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits</li>\n <li>401k Savings and Retirement Plan</li>\n <li>Paid Parental Bonding Leave for New Parents</li>\n <li>Flexible Work Schedules and Part-time Opportunities</li>\n <li>Generous Employee Referral Bonus Program</li>\n <li>Mentorship Programs- Mentor and Mentee</li>\n <li>Student Loan Repayment Assistance by Location</li>\n <li>Relocation Assistance</li>\n <li>Regional & National traveling CPO/CO/CP opportunities</li>\n <li>Volunteering for Local and National events such as Hanger’s BAKA Bootcamp and EmpowerFest</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Hanger, Inc. is committed to providing equal employment opportunity in all aspects of the employer-employee relationship.
