    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong><em>Job Title:&nbsp;</em></strong>Signal Maintenance Supervisor</p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>R</em></strong><strong><em>eports to:&nbsp;</em></strong>Manager of Signal Maintenance</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong><em>P</em></strong><strong><em>osition Summary:</em></strong></p><p><strong><em>&nbsp;</em></strong></p><p>The Signal Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, testing, and repair of the commuter rail train control and signal system in accordance with State and Federal regulations. The Supervisor also directs and organizes daily work crew activities to ensure the commuter rail system&#39;s safe and reliable operation.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>D</em></strong><strong><em>escription of Duties:</em></strong></p><p><br></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Assigns and directs the work crew by managing the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of commuter rail crossings and signal systems</li><li>Provides guidance and clear expectations to work crew and holds all employees accountable for work product and adherence to all guidelines, policies, and regulations</li><li>Provides leadership in safety, mental awareness and overall health to ensure maintainers come to work well rested and focused on work</li><li>Promotes a culture that aims to keep employee morale moving in a positive direction</li><li>Performs efficiency testing of the work crew and provides guidance, feedback, coaching, and mentoring</li><li>Prepares reports and written procedures for system inspections and preventative maintenance, including but not limited to, filing FRA credible reports of crossing malfunctions, hours of service, PM compliance, and special projects</li><li>Maintains timely and accurate records of inspections, repairs, and calibration tests in RailDOCS and Trapeze Maintenance Management Systems&nbsp;</li><li>Oversees testing and repair of faulty equipment by applying knowledge to diagnose&nbsp;the&nbsp;cause of the malfunction</li><li>Reviews and analyzes maintenance activity reports for trends in repairs, equipment failures, and parts usage to determine if corrective action is needed</li><li>Schedules required safety inspections and tests of train control&nbsp;and signal&nbsp;equipment&nbsp;</li><li>Assists with workplace investigations by determining cause and implementing corrective actions</li><li>Reads, understands, and interprets schematics, service and safety manuals, electrical drawings, program relay logic, ELX VLC and XP4 logs, and circuit operations</li><li>Review of current SOP&rsquo;s and creation of new SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure) to ensure safety and continued efficiency of the department</li><li>Responsible for tool/part requisitions; maintain an effective stock of tools and parts inventory</li><li>Adheres to all rules, regulations, standard operating procedures, and contractual obligations governing day-to-day operations</li><li>Complete all other duties as assigned</li></ul><h1 style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></h1><h1 style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Qualifications:</h1><p><br></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>High School diploma or GED required; Associates degree in electrical, electronic, or other job-related field highly preferred&nbsp;</li><li>3 years or more experience in electrical, railroad signaling, and train control inspection or maintenance and repair required</li><li>2 years or more experience in a leadership position working in a maintenance and repair environment preferred</li><li>Ability to comply with all safety rules and instructions including the use of proper personal protective equipment</li><li>Proficient with computer operation, Asset Management software, and the Microsoft Office platform</li><li>Ability to work under tight schedules and deadlines while maintaining system quality and reliability</li><li>Ability to instruct and&nbsp;cross-train staff on inspections, maintenance, testing, and repair assignments</li><li>Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks with minimal supervision</li><li>Ability to work on unscheduled emergency call-outs outside of assigned work hours and respond and assist with trouble calls in a timely manner</li><li>Ability to work any assigned shift, including nights, for prolonged periods of time.</li><li>Must be able to work outside in inclement weather conditions&nbsp;</li><li>Must possess a valid Colorado driver&rsquo;s license and maintain a clean driving record</li><li>Must pass a pre-employment physical examination</li><li>Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and successfully pass a pre-employment background check, and drug and alcohol screening, and be willing to comply with the DTO Drug and Alcohol Policy</li></ul></div><p><br></p>\n",
