Safety-Kleen in Elgin, IL is looking for a Product Development Lab Tech to join their safety conscious team! As a Product Development Lab Tech you will be responsible for providing non-technical or basic technical support to laboratory personnel.

Responsibilities
Positive and safe work environments Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times Perform tests to help assess new technology and improve existing product line. Perform cleaning studies on customer parts to determine optimum chemistry/equipment. Perform troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair procedures for equipment operation and repair manuals. Create customer-facing technical reports detailing proper cleaning chemistry/methods. Maintain cleaning equipment and customer demonstration area. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications
HS Diploma or equivalent
College Level Chemistry Class Completion
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (or related science) preferred
Prior experience in a laboratory setting
Excellent communication, organization, and quantitative skills
Proficiency with computer applications
Ability to document, record, and analyze data and information
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends when necessary
Valid Driver's License required
Punctuality and attendance required
Respirator fit test upon hire- clean shaven face required (mustache okay!)
Background check, drug screen and physical- required
