text-decoration: underline\">potential positions:</span> Positions vary depending on funding.</span></span> </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Administration / Reception Support</span><br></span>Assist the administration staff with a variety of different tasks, but not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Greeting Visitors &amp; providing customer service assistance in person or over the phone.</li>\n<li>Administrative tasks revolving around file management, documentation, printing, photocopying &amp; scanning.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">Maintenance Workers</span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Assist with the Janitorial services to any Wasauksing First Nation buildings; duties include but are not limited to: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Washing of floors, windows, and other surfaces. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Emptying garbage cans</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Ensuring general cleanliness of Wasauksing buildings. </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">Beach Patrol</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Perform grounds maintenance of Wasauksing First Nation beaches, including but not limited to: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Providing support to community members- safety handouts, sale of permits.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Ensuring visual standards- grass cutting, disposal of leaves, garbage disposal.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">Daycare Classroom Supports</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Supporting the teachers with tending to childcare needs including, but not limited to:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Providing a positive and supportive learning environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Assisting in monitoring &amp; implementation of activities, snack preparation, and behavior management.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">Field Tech</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Responsible for assisting the Lead Biologist with implementing a long-term terrestrial species at risk monitoring program, including but not limited to.</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Carry out safe handling of turtles and snakes (including venomous Massasauga Rattlesnake for the purpose of data collection and recording. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Assist with community engagement events, turtle egg development from incubation to release.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">Housing Maintenance- Outdoor</span></p>\n<p>Responsible for assisting maintenance of rental properties, including but not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Repairing of housing units, including minor carpentry repair. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Performing weekly seasonal maintenance, i.e. grass trimming and weed pulling.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">Home Support- Outdoor</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Responsible for providing outside minor maintenance duties to eligible community<br>members, including but not limited to:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Perform seasonal maintenance, i.e., grass trimming, weed pulling, piling wood. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Ensuring clients' safety in their homes while maintaining the confidentiality of community members.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">Home Support- Indoor</span></p>\n<p>Responsible for performing scheduled weekly/daily maintenance home support service to clients, including but not limited to: </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Light housekeeping services, i.e., washing dishes, sanitizing kitchen, meal prep, vacuuming/sweeping/washing floors</li>\n<li>assist with community functions as required, i.e., setting up chairs/tables, cleaning up</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Student Nurse</span><br></p>\n<p>Responsible for working in collaboration with the Nursing Station team to ensure<br>comprehensive patient care. Duties include, but are not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide holistic primary health care to First Nation, Inuit and Métis clients by following our model of care, which includes referring clients to other resources.</li>\n<li>Work in a shared care model that offers a team approach to health care<br>provided by physicians, medical specialists, NPs and allied health care<br>professionals.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Land Based- Health</span></p>\n<p>Responsible for assisting the health team with land-based activities for the community. Duties include, but not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Assist with a variety of roles revolving around member involvement in Land-<br>based healing.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Aid in the scheduling, planning, and delivering land-based programing and activities.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">Youth Worker</span></p>\n<p>Collaborating with your team to organize and coordinate recreational awareness activities for Wasauksing Youth; Including but not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan, organize, and participate in various recreational programs and youth camps.</li>\n<li>Provide moral support and encouragement to youth. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif\">To qualify for the Summer Work Experience Program 2026, an individual MUST meet the following criteria:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(152, 43, 13); font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Students must be 15 and 30 years of age at the time of hiring;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(152, 43, 13)\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif\">Stud</span><span style=\"font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif\">ents must have been registered as full-time students in the previous academic year, and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year;</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(152, 43, 13); font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Be students in a secondary, post-secondary, vocational or technical program, but not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(152, 43, 13); font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Be legally entitled to work in Canada according to relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(152, 43, 13); font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif\">Must have banking info, Sin number, and Status card</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">Please ensure to provide a cover letter that confirms you meet the criteria to participate in the Summer Work Experience Program, and two references.</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(52, 16, 240); font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">If you have questions please reach out the HR Team. </span></p>",
